Are we talking strongest punch? Because then it's Earnie Shavers hands down. The guy hit like a truck. He simply didn't have the boxing talent to go anywhere.

I judged based on all around punching skill plus power. On that, I wanted to go Shavers, then Foreman, and my heart wanted Chavez... lol.. but I had to go Brown Bomber. Bum of the Month club, dude put it down.

actually, Prime Tyson was so poised that it was scary. Later Tyson depended on head games and reputation, and old Tyson was just throwing bombs to end fights fast.

Tysons power was more about his quickness then anything.  They say in boxing that its the punch you cant see that really hurts you. Tyson in his prime, was such a quick puncher for a heavyweight. He had power no doubt. But it wasnt sheer power like a Foreman say.  It was the fact that he was getting that left hook in there with such quickness that fighters wouldnt even see it coming.

Good point, the only Tyson I ever really watched (live) was after he got out of jail for raping that chick
