Overall Ice Cube is better.

Discography? Cube got 2 undeniable classics (AMW and DC), 2 arguable classics (Predator and Lethal Injection), 2 group classics (Straight Outta Compton and Bow Down) and a classic EP (Kill At Will)

Skills? Biggie takes it but not by far.

Impact? Cube wrote Straight Outta Compton. Nuff Said. Changed the game forever.

Cube - G.O.A.T.

Love Biggie but you can't compare anyone to the Don Dadda.

And Big's written his share of classics as well. It's kind of an uneven debate. Cube not only started more than 6 years before Big but he's had a full career since. Big died about three years after his first album hit the shelves. For the time that Big had, he influenced a lot of cats and really earned himself a legacy. It would be like if Cube was gunned down right after he finished recording "Death Certificate".

It's kind of a weird comparison anyway. I'd go with something like Cube vs. Face since they both started out in a group and have both been in the game for over two decades. Biggie versus Cube just seems like an odd match-up to me. Their styles aren't similar enough to where it makes sense to compare them. The decision seems like it would almost always have to be based on whose style you dug more. It's kind of like an Eminem vs. Tupac comparison, the votes are gonna pull away from skill and turn into "well, this guy wrote this and this guy makes music about pointless shit so he's stupid".

Biggie had more lyrical skills and a crazy flow. Cube was more political and more influential. Both had at least two classic albums (Cube maybe three). Depends what you prefer.

How does Em imitate Pac? They have completely different styles. So whoever comes first is the originator? If that's the case then Pac is just a ripoff of Cube.

well said, because em does not copy pac, in fact he is influenced by pac.  but then again, he's influenced by many others such as redman, wu-tang, outkast, biggie etc...

I agree. Good points.....Hmmm one thing that stays in my mind when everybody saying Biggie is THE greatest, is that he took King Ts style, then ran with it. Also IMO Only Ready 2 Die was classic (as in solid from start to finish). He was the 'savior' for the East, wehn West was dominating, and ever since the Pac Biggie beef (argue even earlier), East fans have been fickle to everyone but 'thier own' bred mcs...

Not a good comparison.

but who at their best was better?

if you put the two on a track I'm picking Biggie for the better 16 or 24 bars

You can't say that because it was a different time when both where on top...to me Cube had a lot more meaningful songs with Substance between America's most and Death Certificate alone....not to even mention The predator....shit Cube was predicting the riots before they even happened...he had a lot of songs about police brutality, economic slavery by foreigners in our own hoods(Black Korea)...ya know real shit that was effecting our people.

Yeah Biggie had great word play....but where was the substance?? Cube was the voice of the people for his time....fo real.... But i respect your opinion.

I'm sick of everyone on Biggie's nuts yeah "ready to die" is a classic and one of the best hip hop albums ever. But wtf dude only had 2 albums and is considered the best WTF is that. Plus on the second album you can see the direction BIGGIE was taking with that POP/R&B sellout shit.

I voted for Ice Cube simply for the fact "Amerikkkas most wanted" is better then "ready to die" IMO. "death certifiacte" and "the predator" album shit all over "life after death". Not to mention Ice Cubes body of work is 20x more then Biggie's. Yeah he died young and didn't have time to release alot of work but it also didnt give him time to fall off he died just after his prime.
