Another milestone has been reached today in the Slaughterhouse saga. The super-group filmed the video to their first single "Number 1" produced by DJ Khalil this afternoon. The video, which is directed by Rik Cordero of Channel Three 21, was filmed in New York City and apparently depicts a party atmosphere and it's aftermath. According to industry insiders, the shoot was packed with "video girls", notable names included the models Missy and Jael. Interestingly enough, even Joe Budden's long-time girlfriend Tahiry Jose made a brief cameo in the video. We can also report that The Horse Shoe Gang, Sauce The Boss and several others were on the scene, but there is no word on whether or not they will be making cameos. We were able to obtain photographs from the video shoot by Hip Hop photographer John Ricard which gives us a glimpse of the action. Ricard's first photograph shows Joell Ortiz layed out with the models Missy and Jael, while the second shows Joe Budden nearly passed out on a building's roof top. At this time we are only able to speculate as to what the song itself represents. However, judging from the imagery, it is clear that the group is trying to grab some mainstream attention with this project. Readers may recall that Royce Da 5'9" stated that they will push the video to television outlets, but there is no time frame available as to when this will happen. We can confirm that BET was indeed on the scene for this video shoot though, so there is no doubt that they will support this project. In the mean time, keep it locked for further updates and check out the photographs included below for a sneak preview.

See, originally they were doing TWO videos today. Then I heard it was only for "Not Tonight", but now people are telling me they did "Number 1". I'm just trying to get the story straight so I don't spread misinformation.

Oh, I dunno if that was for today, but I heard it's being done.

Yeah, must be, because I know they had planned for both songs.

One of Joe's fans was at the video shoot today and commented on the record. BTW, the song was produced by DJ Khalil.
yes, and even better it sounds like it could get a decent amount of play on z100
it truly feels like a house party song, rather than a club song...theres no synths, no 808s, club snares
it sounds like an edgy pop rock song
-
LOL... Talli is a fan first most, but is also friends with Joe.
Yeah apparently the song is pretty sick, it's a re-make of the classic KRS-One "I'm Still Number 1"

Apparently Slaughterhouse made an unexpected appearance on Peter Rosenberg's Hot 97 show tonight. I didn't get a chance to record the show, because I wasn't notified in time, but did get to record them playing "Fight Club" live on the air. Not exactly new music, but here's a nice MP3 for music collectors. Enjoy!

What these guys really need is a single to blow up on the TV and radio, they already have underground followings, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for this.

i was saying to someone the other day that i hope Rik Cordero does a music video for Slaughterhouse, then i jump in this thread and it turns out he is doing it. Which isn't too much of a surprise since he's worked with them all except for Crooked.
So when is this video meant to be dropping? A few weeks?

Thanks, Effex. Nice find. Hopefully, they'll drop that first single soon. Just when I think I can't anticipate an album anymore than I already do, they somehow manage to get me even more excited to hear this. I guess the promotions are working, albeit their main promotional tool just seems to be secrecy j/k They're video appearances and interviews have actually been pretty cool, but now they got me dyin' to hear some new music.
