Shocking!!! LOL what a big surprise
Just release the other 102 names already and get over it
-
i'm surprised :( LOL

i'm surprised :( LOL
LOL good one
-
surprized Sosa went go hard tryin' to convince us he was clean a few weeks ago.
about time someone else got called off that list besides the super random finding of A-Rod. ::)
-
Lol baseball is such a joke. Every good star player cheats.
-
they really should just release that whole list now.
it's better they get it out of the way because at some point we will find out who the other 102 are.
maybe if they come clean now, by the end of their career it could be forgotten.

who's left from the 90s-now?
jeff bagwell
frank thomas
ken griffey jr
derek jeter
albert pujols
vlad guerrero (linked to A-rod's trainer though...as is Ortiz)
those are the only authentic superstars that come to mind...besides HANLEY RAMIREZ ofcourse
-
^i'd say Jeter & big Frank are the only two clean ones.
maybe Bags, but Jr. will wind up being on them; i mean dude was injured so much & roids are used to heal from injury quicker, he had to have used them once; i hope not though.
Pooh has always crushed the ball so i would real surprized if he was on them, but i wouldn't be entirely shocked.
-
No way about bagwell, pujols and vlad being clean. I think Jeter and Maddux are probably clean and hopefully Jr. too
-
SOSA USED PEDS?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I WOULD HAVE NEVER GUESSED!!! MY WORLD HAS BEEN TURNED UPSIDE DOWN!!!!!!!
:tosser:
-
btw, its safer to assume that your favorite veteran player used peds. especially if he was a star in the 90s, early 00s.
shit, even now...i wouldnt be surprised to find out that guys like adrian gonzalez, howard, ibanez, dunn, utley, dye, berkman, damon..etc etc., at one point or another used something banned. everyone is a suspect.
-
oh..and the ONLY way to stop this shit, is ONE strike and youre out. this would force everyone to quadruple check what they put into their bodies...just in case someone who said "i didnt know" was actually tellin the truth.
then again...people complain when their favorite player doesnt hit homers. look at james loney..2 homers, 40 something rbi. yet people still call in on Dodger Talk bitching and moaning about his lack of power. then, they call in and talk about how disappointed they are in Manny and blah blah blah.
MOTHERFUCKERS, YOU CANT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!!!!

they should release that list...why protect them? fuck them. each and every one of them.
and maybe people will forget about their PED use..if theyre a mediocre player or a non-impact player...but guys like arod, manny, etc..these guys will have it follow them till they hang it up. and if someone on that list gets close to or breaks any records...well, it wont mean shit. just the way it is.
-
frank thomas wrote in a autobiography from 10 years ago or so that in high school he tried steroids once and had a bad experience with it and has never touched them since

of course...what did you want him to say? "Ive been using steroids since i was in HS and i attribute all my power to them"?? im sure that would have gone over well.
pete rose also said, for many many years, that he didnt bet on the reds.
-
lol this came out way before ppl in the general public knew steroids were a huge-ass part of the game. the ignorance days.

yeah, i think if they come clean now it will look better on their careers opposed to finding out when they are close to retirement or when they are retired.

lol, my bad. ;D
but i just remember when Petitte came clean & said he used them just to recover from an injury faster & help his team.
i would imagine Jr. did too, but i hope not.
he might go down as the best hitter in the steroid era if he is the only clean one.

i doubt we will see a slew of players all of a sudden admitting to past PED use. i wouldnt even know how to feel about that, if a player just admitted it, out of the blue.
on one hand, i would be like "damn, this nigga has the balls to just admit his wrong doing"
on the other.." dam, this nigga just like everyone else, a fucking cheater."

depends on the player.
if Manny just came out & admitted it that would be sick; but it still would be a shock because he still fooled us all into believing he was one of the best.
but if a guy like Luis Soho said, "yeah i was taking them back in the day", it would such a less magnitude; it almost wouldn't matter lol.

Yeah I'd be lying out of my ass if I said I didn't suspect a few of the guys on that list like Pettite, but Griffey has just always seemed very unlikely. For one, he used to take a lot of heat for relying too much on his natural ability and not lifting weights enough, obviously if you're not hitting the weights all the time steroids are pointless. Second, if he'd been using roids he probably wouldn't have had all those nagging injuries. If you think he might have used them to recover from one of those injuries then please refer to my earlier post lol

strong points, i guess he could be clean; i hope he is anyway.
but it's just if he wasn't it wouldn't entirely shock me lol.

Fair enough, I'll defend Griffey all fuckin day cause as a Seattle fan I haven't had much else to cheer about for the past 15 years LOL

As a Jays fan, I am willing to bet that Vernon Wells was on the juice a few years ago

roids help you recover faster from injuries...but on the flip side, abuse of roids will turn you into a fragile player. so using his nagging injuries as a point to say he didnt use roids, isnt all that valid.
look at nomar garciaparra...id be willing to bet anything he used PED..and now look at him...hes mr. glass.

damn this is getting old
