They're all the same because I only like a few rappers from each coast. The only time I listened to almost only one specific coast was the West Coast '92-'96.

without doubt...Tha South is the second best...midwest aint got a coast....but area wise theyre 3rd

Do you actually think that westcoast hip-hop is better than east coast, overall from the creation of hip-hop to the present?

my favorite "coast" is Lake Michigan
twista, psychodrama, etc.
and my second favorite "coast" is the Ohio River
nappy roots, illstar, etc.
but it's all good... as far as the poll goes it's all about the WESTCOAST

personally i do...of course the east can always pull that card and say hey we started hip hop...but the state of hip hop right now is lookin much like west coast hip hop did back in 1992-1996....lots of gangsterism, lots of flossin....the west basically started all that bangin on wax so as of right now its like the east is retortin back to what the west has already done.....thats why i think the west is ahead of the east...

Like M.C. Ren said, Niggaz been rapping since the 70's and still never went gold. And the East didn't until Biggie. And after that, the east copied westcoast flow, and made themself another Westcoast to sell. Jigga sound west, Biggie had west beats, and east sounds like the west. So we made the east, and now we coming back with Ras Kass, Xzibit, and even Snoop sounding good.

Tha EastCoast 4 sho ! They have real bangin shit sometimes even if I don't like it very much, but it's the coast I've got the highest respect for after tha West.
