Cant wait! Should be a lot of fun! Lets go Giants!!
-
Pujols will go 0-3 with a walk. ;D
Lincy is by far the most entertaining & exciting pitcher to watch; i love pitching duels over slugfests as long as their big name pitchers or up & coming rookies.
i'm not big on hitter/pitcher match-up's because a great pitcher shits on a great hitter 90% of the time.
-
Lincy is dominating so far!!!
-
Pooh is 1-3 so far, but with a K.
i told you great pitching >>> great hitting. ;)
Lincy for Cy Young! ;D
-
albert pujols is the best hitter in our lifetimes
28 HR's so far, damn
-
^he's right up their with Bonds.
before he 'roided up; he was the best player. a five tool guy, who could just fuckin' hit.
but Pooh will surpass him eventually & then all his accomplishments will be complete trash to us in five years when it comes out he's juiced. :P
-
Pujols is great but he is no Bonds.
What a game by Lincy!! Complete game shutout with no walks and only 2 hits allowed!! He is unreal

Matt Cain is pitching a GEM, but zero run support. :-X
-
as i speak; Giants got the bases juiced, not outs, here in the 8th! :o
-
bonds pre-steroids was a great 4 tool guy (was about a .288 hitter...that's league average some years)
but pujols is in another stratosphere through age 29...only Ruth and Gehrig blow him away (because Williams and Dimaggio did war service and Josh Gibson was born the wrong color lol)

I wouldn't say Cain pitched a gem, but he did what he always does and gave us a chance to win. Wainwright made us look silly and went a full 9 innings but couldn't even get the win. Only getting 1 run with the bases loaded was tough, we had our chance to break the game open but we had 2 strikeouts and a Sac Fly in between.
As great as Pujols is, Bonds was on such a ridiculous level that I don't see anybody reaching again. There were times where you just knew he was going to come through in the big situations, against so many great pitchers. And Timmy is amazing, most exciting pitcher in the majors.

bonds in 2004 was insane...232 walks in like 140 games of play
however I'll take Pujols playing 160 games over Bonds only playing 130-140 games in his steroid-enduced "prime"
