Just wondering with the current MJ sales... I know I never spent a dime on Michael Jackson in my life (yet).
I've been wanting to buy "HIStory" since forever, but I just never did. I might cop it soon if there's gonna be a special release of it.

I bought a Thriller LP OG since they were so cheap due the over supply and I don't even own a damn vinyl player lol.
-
Nope, Already owned all of his tapes, CD's ect...
(I won't front tho, I downloaded the "Thriller 25" this week tho)

Got all of his albums OG. My parents had Thriller on vinyl when it came out, Bad vinyl was the first album I bought. The rest were all bought on CD in the week they came out 8)

I already had thriller, off the wall & Dangerous but I bought that thriller 25 year anniversary edition since it was so cheap.
-
Parents already have a couple albums somewhere around the house BUT i did download the "Thriller 25" yesterday lol. Him dieing honestly opened up my eyes to how many classic songs this guy really has!!!

Nope, had his ish.
But a while back on Ebay I bought the Thriller OG LP and them bitch asses never sent it, and now I'm more pissed off than I was before. Muthafuckin' lame asses.

Nope. Just cause the motherfuckers dead, doesn't mean I'm a automatically buy and like his music. I liked a couple of tracks, but honestly not enough to warrant a purchase of a album. Now a Greatest Hits, I might purchase cause its got a lot of tracks I like.Even then its not likely to get heavy rotation so I'll probably not buy it.

Just bought "Essential Michael Jackson" today. I've always been a fan since I was in pre-school but never actually bought anything of his. I remember my parents had the old Thriller vinyl but listened to it maybe once when I was around. It was treated like a collectors item or like an antique or something.
I was looking for compilation albums that would have his greatest songs. I looked for the History Album but didn't see it. It was probably sold out His Number 1's album didn't have "Leave Me Alone" on it and I had to buy a cd with that song. I may end up buying a few more of his albums later. This is really great to see Michael Jackson's career blow up once more, it's like the late 80's/early 90's all over again. Very nostalgic.

I've been meaning to get a remastered version of "Thriller". We've played the shit out of the OG copy for over 20 years. I thought about going to the record store this week to get that and possibly a copy of "Essential" but decided against it. More for lack of time than anything else.

Yesterday I picked up a vinyl copy of his Thriller LP & got a 45 of his singles 'Scream' and the 'Free Willy Theme'

Same. Interestingly enough, "Bad" was always my favorite. As a kid I had it on vinyl (my uncle was old school) and cassette but never on CD. I'd feel weird buying it now though since thats the new cool-thing-to-do for the moment.
