-
this shit is sick
-
beat goes hard.. nice track
is this of reformation?
-
Bishop and Xzibit on a Dre track...Damn, sound like some classic shit. Gonna smoke some before listenning to it. Peace ! 8)
-
This shit is insane! 8)
Major props for this, is it an official leak off of The Reformation or did Bishop just throw this out there?
-
this BETTER be off The Reformation.
twelve more tracks like this & we got ourselfs a classic on our hands. 8)
beat bangs, Bishop kills it & Xzibit is always on point! 8)
-
Wow this shit is fucking hot. I've pretty much lost all interest in Lamont with his obviously fishy label situation, weak flow and delivery on the majority of the tracks and how he started being a gangsta on couple of tracks BUT this song is pure quality. Subject matter has never been a problem for him and this time his flow and delivery are on point. Dope hook from X and a very cinematic beat from Dre (the bass thumps).
On the other hand him leaking random Dre tracks probably means he's off the label and that we'll never hear the album.
-
bullseye, those kind of prod. id miss from dre
-
so far i'd say that this song is even better than Grow Up :sun: i love the direction 8)
i like the sheep bashing
and that's how it should be done bishop!

all i can say is amen bro

Props rebel by the way, any news about bishop's situation with aftermath ? Are dre and him still looking to drop the reformation on another label ?
-
DAMN.
I'll drop feedback later.. shit is sick and I'm too blown away to say more about it ;D
-
Anybody know if Bishop Lamont got a track with Kurupt?
I just noticed this picture on Kurupt's myspace, the title text was this: ME AND BISHOP LAMONT MAKIN A BANGER!!!!!!!!!!!
-
WHISTLEEEEEEEEEEEE
DPGC23
-
Bishop is always working hard.. would be dope to hear him spit together with Kurupt on a track.
-
Props.

Bishop is the truth. He's a rare kind of artist.
The Reformation! Chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrcccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Look out for "The Reformation"
Lol at that, he dropped 'Grow Up' like a year ago. Lets be clear, Reformation aint comming out.
good to hear some new Xzibit.
-
i like this
-
Screw the haters. this is really hard. song is hot, beat is real hot. u dont like this go keep Drake and Wayne on repeat. good for you.
-
Okay.
The first Dre joint in a while that gives me confidence in Detox.
Beat....just wow :o
HOnestly, i think Dre was holding his true Dre heat for the special time such as Detox, and when he really ready make Bishop blow. The stuff for 50 appeared as rushed track Interscope pushed him to make for 50.
I honestly have not been really impressed by a beat for the past 2 years or so. this is it for me so far. I'm like this :yikes: over the beat. the beat feels like it should've been on the Chronic but released in 2009. Has that "Lyrical Gang Bang" feel but superior to it and more modern.
-
Holy shit thats is the hotest fuckin thing ive heard all year.
-
God damn, this track is insane! Reformation has to drop, else we gonna miss out on some classic shit! Start of the 3rd verse Bishop reminds me of Proof...
-
Is that Dre at the start saying "Real Hip Hop Is Back" ?
-
according to Bishop is it - check twitter.com/bishoplamont1
-
Well, the tags have it dated jan 09....wonder what else they've been cooking up since then :)
-
this track is fuckin crazy!! :o 8)
-
this some good shit right here, bishop need to get off that aftermath shit and drop and album though
-
Daaamn, this shit is craaaaaaazy. Dre still the illest!
-
thanks for the re up

I'm srry H8TER, but I listened to the track & I've been totally floored ever since & you "Expert" comment doesn't really convince or sway me to in the least bit to admit you may have a valid point.
this shits like a bong... it needs to be passed around!

The Reformation! Chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrcccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when ever I think of the Bishop those are the exact same sentiments that come naturally to mind & if people are still hating on this dre beat they need to go back to listening to Relapse. no offense to Em, it's just actually refreshing to actually hear somethings that's PURE Westcoast & well... FRESH! 8) 8)
-
God damn, this track is insane! Reformation has to drop, else we gonna miss out on some classic shit! Start of the 3rd verse Bishop reminds me of Proof...
I always noticed that similarity & parallel, but did you know that when proof was still alive him & Bishop were tight to the point where Proof helped pass-out copy's of B.Lamonts then mix-tape 'Who I Gotta Kill To Get A Record Deal' Vol. 1. I'm no too positive on this next part but he may have even been that crucial link that led him to Dre? maybe someone here at the dub could substantiate these claims? I think i remember hearing Bishop himself say that in an interview i saw once.
another thing worth mentioning is they're probably 2 of the most underrated rap-artists of their time, I think.

keep in mind that i had yet to listen to the track, when i made that comment.
i didn't know how long it would take to make up my mind.
some songs need to be listened to a lot of times, while others only need to be checked a few times.
as you can see below, Halleluja belongs in the 2nd category:

what do you think of the song, Chad?
-
Song's not bad - maybe it will grow on me when I give it a couple more spins..
-
There are only two albums I'm looking forward to: Detox and The Reformation.
-
Meh... a 13 in a dozen song. The beat is generic, the rhymes are boring and the hook is simple.
-
Song's not bad - maybe it will grow on me when I give it a couple more spins..

shit is hard as fuck..beat is just :o :o
-
this is the dre shyt i'm feelin!
-
Dope track, Bishop brings that shit.
-
dopeness.
-
I'm hoping that if this track blows up on hip hop sites that Dre will judge how to push the Reformation, maybe use this as another street single, because more I listen to this track, the more I feel this shit. It's fire. Unfortunately some other hip hop sites have a lot of haters.
-
It's a nice little song nothing major.
-
average to me, the one produced by Battlecat is a lot better
-
traks produced my dre are not on a 2001 level (chronic 2001 album). thats what i would like to hear and im sure you guys too

what do you mean with the 2001 level?
Dre's current sound is different than the 2001 "sound", but that's not a bad thing at all IMO.
so i don't see the problem

Same here. 2001 was dope, but it's over. Been there, done that. Dre's sound had to evolve. This is Detox, not 2001 part 2.
-
album still happening?
Yeah
On Aftermath?
-
Dre is still on top ! 8)
The beat is bangin' and i like this "orchestral" atmosphere, great to hear X to the Z on a Dre beat again, Bishop made a good job !
Rewind again !

-
BishopLamont1@mrxtothaz ill call u tomorrow we going to film a video for "Hallelujah" we gotta get schedules locked in....chuuuch! be safe pimp!
-
Damn, can't wait for that. Aftermath's been pushing hard this year.
-
damn man, x killed this shit. aggrasive flow as usual and beat bangs for sure. like the flow bishop lays down on his last verse. but X really murked this shit without even having a verse on it.
-
songs not on some Still Dre blow you out your seat from the bounce type shit but its just a dope song where the message >>>> the beat. In the past most of Dres songs have needed dope beats cause subject matter usually is repetitive, now songs like this and Grow Up dont need some crazy hyped beat but just some cinematic stuff. Im feeling this
-
one of bishops best to date
Hallelujah>>>GROW UP
production is dope too
and damn bishop sounds dope on these church type of beats
and x-man is back on his grizzily (he sounds focused and mean lol)
GET YOUR WALK ON 2 this
-
Is that Dre at the start saying "Real Hip Hop Is Back" ?
yeah.
keep in mind that his vocals have changed since 2006.
what do you think of the song, Chad?

Exactly, some people are sayin' this song is incredible. It's dope but i hope the album will have better songs.

well you wouldn't see me complaining if bishop had an album with songs, such as Grow Up & this one :)
that would be quite an accomplishment if you ask me.
a lot of rap albums are full of filler

You sure it's Dre?
It kinda sound like him,but ain't Dre's voice a little deeper? (even after all the steroids)
Anyway...
Shit bangs but...
IMO a verse by Dre and X would kick it up a notch...
that's what it sounds like to me.
listen to Imagine:
http://www.youtube.com/v/9Jlutz21yFc
anyway, i see your point about wanting a verse from Xzibit: the beat fits him well.
also, i hope that a new bishop song with a verse from Dre leaks in the near future :D

That is true, but Bishop got doper songs than this and those were just mixtape material. "Hallelujah" might be a single though, since they shootin' the video with Xzibit for it. Anybody got any info on if Bishop is still signed to Aftermath or not? If he ain't signed i hope he still gonna release the material he got with Dr. Dre.

+1. Im a big fan of both, good to know they wre homies...
A verse by Xzibit would kick this up another level, remix coming soon?? :D
-
this song is bangin as fuck, but did any of you guys check The Confessional mixtape?
he had songs almost as good as this all over it, beats were bangin' & they weren't even Dre beats.
it's a must hear. ;) 8)
-
The difference is that his delivery was weak on 3/4 of that mixtape. That's not the case here. And no beat comes even close to this one, that's my opinion.
X killed the hook 8)
-
I dunno, I thought the Confessional was crazy good by mixtape standards. There was some filler but overall dope.
-

a few fillers, but the best songs on the tape were better than most songs that come out.
I Can't Figure It Out was easily one of the best songs that came out last year. ;D

Definately, and I still bump Send a Nigga Home and City Lights from time to time, as well as Be Cool too which was crazy even though Bishop wasn't on it.

Exactly, Bishop is 8) but on some tracks, he sounds lazy as fuck, like on 'City Lights'
-
good track - bishop is good and xzibit on there for some co-signing works well. the beat is nice - suitable kinda vibe, lots going on and a dope lil' bassline. nothing to get excited about considering its dre though.
-
Everything fits together nicely, those drums are fucking crazy. Bishop nailed it.
-
I really like this track, but I can't give a real opinion since I heard it back at the house of blues concert and remember not really bein impressed since it's Dre. But now that I hear the CDQ in it's full, it's a NICE track with a pretty good beat, nothing amazing, but smashes 95 percent of the shit out this year. X shoulda had a verse though, but I can understand why he didn't.
Overall it's a really good track and would make a great spot on The Reformation as one of the non-singles. Along with tracks such as:
-Grow Up & the other crazily rumoured singles, I Dominate, Inspired, Church & Rain (2 of which by Dre & 1 featuring him)
-The also much anticipated Dre/Storch track featuring Dre, and a few other Dre tracks Bish was mentioning.
-The one with Nate Dogg on the hook produced by Warren G & the one with Balance on the hook that we heard a snippet of.
-The one with 50 Cent produced by Khalil as well as possibly an Eminem feature & another track with Crooked/Xzibit...
-The You Aint Fresh track we heard a bit of live were theres shots at The Game, that one was DOPE.
-Dilla, Khalil, Rotem, Just Blaze, Premo, Hi-Tek, Quik....and so many more were supposed to be on it at one point as well. No clue as to who is still on it.
And that is all just info that I picked up in interviews ... most of which where Bishop wasn't giving away any "big surprises". You also gotta consider that a lot of this shit is considered "outdated" by Dre/Bishop now and won't even make the cut. And, the leaked/scrapped tracks that we've all heard like Feel On It, No Stoppin' Carson, It Hurts, Bitches On My Dick, Friends, Down, Too Much & Oh My God all could have made for an amazing album. And don't quote me on this, but I coulda swore I remember hearing someone at Aftermath say in an interview that Dre/Bishop and Hittman were doing some shit together, it might have been King Tee...I just remember hearing something about all them working together in the past couple of years. It may have been Detox though.
So as you can see, The Reformation from what I see so far will DESTROY anything of the past few years IMO if it were to drop. But we all know the tracklist will change a million times and most of these tracks will be leaked/scrapped by the time it is even considered to be put out. And I doubt it will even be considered on Interscope at least.

triple co-sign!!! I even bought the CD-Version through DJ-Whoo Kid's shadyville.biz. it's definitely different with less tracks than downloadable one, but it's still HOT nonetheless. I've been feelin' Bishop since last summer when he dropped 'The Confessional'. not only is this track hallelujah single handedly the most refreshing real hip-hop track I've listen to in a long while, it gives me even more hope for The Reformation to occur :o & to even see DETOX with Bishops touch on it much like Hittman's fingerprints were all over the chronic '2001' album & as what Snoop was to 'The Chronic'.
can't wait! ;D 8)
I Can't Figure It Out was easily one of the best songs that came out last year. ;D
