1999...cause I remember it the most.  

Snoop returned to his roots with "Topp Dogg."  Xzibit started getting noticed with "B Please."  Kurupt dropped his hottest album yet, "Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha" and  Dre hit us with "Dr. Dre 2001" which totally changed West coast hip-hop.

96': All Eyez On Me & Makaveli, two of the greatest albums ever. 93' is a VERY, VERY close second, because of The Chronic and Doggystyle. Matter of fact, ill just say 93' and 96' are tied.
