Title: Your favorite West Coast songs that dropped before 92
Post by: R-Tistic on July 07, 2009, 09:42:34 AM
What "Pre-Golden Age" songs from the West Coast would you say are your favorite? Whether it's N.W.A., early Too Short, Richie Rich, Mac Dre, King Tee...what songs do you still bump?

I can't really think of anything before '92 then N.W.A., people always talk about how great "Straight Outta Compton" is but i like "Efil4Zaggin" way more.

The production on the album is better then on "Straight Outta Compton", even though it's missing Ice Cube i still like it more.

Above The Law, N.W.A, I think Compton's Most Wanted. lol Early acts (Also Ice - T).

But N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton, cause it has a more street feel. Though ELIFE4ZAGGIN is way more hardcore.

What the fuck do you expect??? N.W.A was (and still is) one of the best groups ever to come around. Honestly the Entire Death Row G-Funk Era was nothing but N.W.A's reign over rap basically (they were just on Solo tips), but lots of good shit came out before N.W.A's debut so yeah I agree THINK HARDER, but since its not a thread listing em, and is mostly whats your favorite expect N.W.A or Ice Cube or Eazy E to appear.
