Just wondering (cause I was watching GridLock'd) what's some of ya'll favorite Tupac movies?
-
My Fav Pac movie was is "Juice"
Followed a close second by "Poetic Justice"
-
Gang Related.
Poetic Justice was decent but Janet annoys me.
Juice is overated imo. Have yet to see Bullet, and GridLock'd is an awful film i think.

Both on "Bullet" & "Above The Rim" he plays basically the same character.
"Gang Related" was a cool film as well, + Pac play's a PoPO 8)
"Gridlock'd" was defo a hard movie to sit thru when I seen it at the movies...
Pac's death was still fresh on peoples mind, For me this movie was like a sendoff.
(Seeing the movie dedicated to him, for me it was like "Closure")

My favorite is Gang Related lol Though, Honestly I like all, the worse one by far was Bullet (Then again it was just a Direct to DVD movie, so I'm not surprised).Honestly, Bullet could of cut off a lot of scenes, and it would of made it ten times better. Overall you'll rarely see Tupac(He's the villain, but ironically his Stage time is more of a Side Character lol). honest IMO it goes from best to worse like this:
Gang Related
GridLock'd
Juice
Poetic Justice
Above The Rim
Bullet
Mainly because Bullet's material had potentiality, but it wasn't utilized in certain aspects.
Also anyone else laugh when we see Him holding those Old school BigASS cell phones (both in his movies and in his Music videos)? lol

Above the rim easily
Bernie Mac was a beastly character in that movie. ;D
-
Above the rim easily
My favorite scene is where he's walking down the street having a conversation with Shep and he's like"...he's something we can all be proud of... HE'S A FUCKING SECURITY GUARD!"

I probably have to agree with this list. My only complaint about Gang Related was that Jim Belushi was a pretty bad miscast, but I still think it was Pac's best movie
To be honest, I never even finished Bullet, but yea that movie seemed pretty weak.

Poetic Justice.
-
Above the rim easily
I never finished watching Above The Rim. I saw the opening scene where the dude smashes through the backboard and falls to his death and LOLed.
Then I turned the DVD off.

This thread has Hack Wilson all over it, except there's no poll
-
Juice is easily his best performance and its my favourite by him, Above the Rim/ Gridlock'd tied for second, then Poetic Justice and then Bullet which is fucking terrible, i left out Gang Related as i havent seen it in years and i cant remember anything from the movie

For real? You should watch the movie, it's dope. The opening scene you talkin' about is stupid as fuck though.

My favourite (and really second to none): "Above The Rim".

Gridlock'd, Gang Related & Poetic Justice were all pretty decent movies, and Pac definately showed that he was capable of doing some proper acting in several genres. It's been a while since i've seen any of them, so I'm not gonna rate them.
Bullet, I really don't remember Pac's effort in that one... because Mr. Rourke came with the hands down worst performance i've ever seen from a professional actor!, and it was a totally crap movie.
Above The Rim... I just remember Pac doing a horrible job (second only to Mickey Rourke in Bullet :p ) in it. The way some people name this as a good movie kinda makes me flabbergasted. I guess (hope) it's one of those cases of "I saw it when I was really young and loved it, so for nostalgic reasons, I still love it" (like me and my Pauly Shore movies, lol)... Because, damn, Pac really didn't come across as a person with any potential acting abilities in this one. If this was the first movie w/ Pac I had seen, I probably wouldn't have checked out any more of his movies.
Never got around to see Juice...
Nothing But Trouble got them all beat tho ;D
-
The one where he dies. :P
Anyone else notice this?
Nothing but Trouble - Appears as himself (dies as himself in RL)
Juice - Goes off the edge
Poetic Justice - Lives (unless a gunman was about to rob the store)
Menace II Society - Even though he didn't star in it, he was suppose to play either Kane or Shariff, Ironically Both of these Characters were killed in the end in a drive by
Above The Rim - Shot by Marlon Waynes
Bullet - Throat Slit
Grid Lock'd - Lived (ODed in rehab)
Gang Related - Shot.
LOL! Nah he lives in Poetic Justic, and Grid Lock'd lol
-
^he did die in a lot of his movies though; truly a crazy thing.
-
Juice then Above the Rim
-
poetic justice and above the rim
