Title: Does sales tells you anything
Post by: dereman95@yahoo.com on July 11, 2009, 06:25:12 PM
since soundscan started since 1991 here are the greatest saling rappers. The numbers only contain US sales
1. Eminem 32.87 million
2. Tupac   31.417 million
3. Jay z     25.1 million
4. Nelly      20.8 million
5. Snoop dogg 18.9 million
6. Outkast  17.23 million
7. DMX 16.5 million
8. Bone Thugs N Harmony - 16.220m
these are the only 7 raps and one group that i found that made the 100 least.

For me nelly dont belong here, other than that in my view all the rest are decent rappers atlest at their time.
What do you think of the list???????????????????????

I mean they all belong there in the sense that the list makes sense, despite what you think of their music.

I think it's sad that other artists never made those numbers, but surely you can understand how they achieved these slots.

there have too be talent too, like how much % talent and how much % popularity? When i said that nelly dont belong in the least, that is because if u see em, tupac and snoop they are like relevant after all those years and have made same classic shit but if u see nelly, nothing specail. that was my point!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tells you which rapper had the most financially stable label backing him.

I was rooting for Nelly. His sales were effected by him taking too much time off between albums.

back in the day, they meant a little something.

now they are completely worthless, but still people use it as an excuse "he sells more than him"; but you know when that argument is brought up, the rapper who sells less is probably better.
