Title: Not meaning to bring up another Realest thread, but....
Post by: DTG Entertainment on July 15, 2009, 11:08:20 AM
These lyrics I ALWAYS found suspect on Fuck Dre....

"Now you actin like and a nigga you and Snoop are tight

You wasn't there when he was fightin for his life

That shit ain't right

It was me, best believe

When I see your ass I'm takin flight

Now nigga turned back to the old you

That bitch from the World Class Wreckin Cru"

Tha Realest didn't touch Death Row till late 1996/early 1997. Snoop's trial had been done for months back then. The one who dissed Dr. Dre for not being there for Snoop during his trial was 2Pac. Did Tha Realest forget who he was when he wrote these song lyrics or can someone tell me the story behind that?

It's a good song, Twist killed his part. I'm glad I'm not the only who wondered about that.

Nah, actually it's in no reference to Pac what so ever.

If you listen, right before that verse, Realest says "Out to kill bitches like Eminem, leave em dead just like the rest of em, still testin them, at the Source Awards, his body guards wasn't protecting him"

He was referring to the Source Awards when he said "You wasn't there when he was fighting for his life" ie, the Source Awards 1999, and then later 2000 when Death Row artists charged the stage when Dogg Pound affiliated artists, including Snoop, were performing.

Mac Shawn also made reference to Death Row mobbing at the Source Awards in his song off Too Gangsta For Radio, it was a quite a heavy topic at the time.

Not for a good reason though.  Fighting another man's battles. Sad, Swoop G and Lil C-Style had reason.  I can't say Twist or Realest had reason to diss people.

Realest will diss anyone Tupac had problems with. If biggies son was to enter the rap game you can bet he have a "Fuck em Up" track ready. lol

yeah so what was the reason for this diss anyway?

The reason why Swoop G and Lil C-Style was dissin everybody was about money issues, like it is always with Snoop Dogg & Tha Dogg Pound. Lil' Style & Swoop wanted more money  and i guess they wasn't gettin' paid the way they was. That's why Swoop G wasn't on "19th Street LBC Compilation" at all. Of course there could be some other reasons too though. Swoop G said he knocked out Snoop Dogg @ The Twinz video shoot and shit like that.

Swoop G was long gone by the time Spider rolled around.....

Swoop even went back up to the office trying to get signed again in '05, and went directly to Suge's office to do so. This was long after Spider had already clicked up with G-Unit. Anyone who knows Swoop and his rep in the street knows the dude ain't the type to:

1) Get his ass beat
2) If there was any type of altercation, he's not gonna go back up there kissing ass. He'd be back up there wrecking shop.

So, somewhere facts got misconstrued.

Also, it's a pretty simple to see fact that everyone on "Fuck Dre" was dissing that whole Snoop/Aftermath camp because of the beef there was with Death Row. There was no beef with Lil Style and Swoop over money, come on now. Dre was more or less done with Death Row after Murder Was The Case. Sure, he was on California Love in 95, but that was an old song, and Dre was literally out the door of Death Row at that point. Before Pac arrived, he hadn't done shit with Death Row for a long while. There's even footage of Pac shitting on Dre because of that, saying "this nigga's done 2 beats in 3 years." And also Style didn't say a damn word about Dre on the song, he only dissed Snoop (that beef goes way back). Swoop was dissing Eminem, Nate Dogg, Snoop, everyone.

Trust me when I tell you, nobody that was on that track had any kind of personal vendetta with Dre, it was a matter of riding for their label and tying into the concept of the album (Too Gangsta For Radio, a diss album). Infact, Lil Style was trying to get signed to Aftermath a couple years ago, so that tells you something.

The reason they got "x'd" from Tha Dogg Pound is money issues, and that's why they started dissin Snoop Dogg and sayin' he fake and shit. Daz Dillinger speaks about Swoop G on "Don't Tryna Play Me Homey", he even says: "Niggas got greedy seen us clockin' dough"

I heard Swoop G wanted more money that he was gettin and the same with Lil C-Style. Swoop G was on the original version of "Bustaz" and was supposed to be featured on "19th Street LBC Compilation" but they started beefin' and all of his verses was taken off.
