Former New Jersey Net star Richard Jefferson was set to marry his fiancee, beautiful dancer Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols, in eleven hours when he decided to change his mind.
Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols was left stunned when she learned that her husband to be, Richard Jefferson, decided not to marry her at the last minute, leaving some surprised guests still showing up for the ceremony.
Jefferson called off the wedding 11 hours before the ceremony, but until two hours before the wedding was to take place before finally calling his family and friends:
A friend says: “He called about two hours before the wedding. It was nuts.”
A family friend says Nichols, who called her family immediately when she learned Jefferson was bailing, was “not entirely caught off-guard,” by Jefferson’s sudden change of heart.
“She just wants to keep this as quiet as possible and move on. She’s doing just fine.”

Richard Allen Jefferson (born June 21, 1980 in Los Angeles), is a 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m) American professional basketball player and a member of the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA. Jefferson was born in Los Angeles and was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. His parents were both Christian missionaries and he moved around frequently growing up.
On June 26, 2008 it was announced that Jefferson was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks for Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons. He was not happy with the trade at first because he planned on being a Net until retirement. However he has since expressed enthusiasm about playing alongside Michael Redd.
On June 23, 2009, Richard Jefferson was traded to the San Antonio Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas, and Fabricio Oberto.
