Raptalk.Net hooked up with Slaughterhouse for an exclusive VIDEO interview while they spent time in my city, Toronto, Canada for their appearance on Rock the Bells tour. Raptalk.Net got the special treatment, being escorted up to their back stage patio for this exclusive interview.
After having a little but of fun with the group, we begin talking about the tour and how it's treated them so far. Slaughterhouse has clearly been a big deal in the media headlines since forming, so they touch on their opinion about how big of a deal the media has made their bond, plus the specifics on their lyrical talent.
Did the group come together because of the buzz the first self-titled track they recorded created? The group talk to us about that as well!
The self-titled album is being released on August 11th through E1 (KOCH) Entertainment, a deal we discuss regarding why the group decided to roll with E1 to release the project.
The DJ Khalil produced first single "The One" is now out with it's music video, the group discusses the single and why they feel it's a classic -- Although the record has received good feed back, Slaughterhouse also addresses what they think about the on line fans who don't enjoy the record.
Guest appearances, production and the rest of the info on the album is also talked about!
Enjoy...

shit really isn't streaming too great and i have very fast internet. it looks really high quality so i suspect it's just too big to stream effectively - any chance of a download link or youtube upload?
or if you can you should compress the original video file down some...perhaps as a wmv as they are nice and efficient for streaming...
-
I'm going to watch it in 5 mins I'll let you know what I think!

I got decent connection. Just let the video load a bit. Pause it and let it load. I did that, and it's running real smooth.

cheers bro...lol that file is massive. i'd still fix the streaming link with something more compressed if i were you...it's bound to frustrate people. i can make it into a .wmv that should stream perfectly if that's any help...

If you're down to do that for us, do it and I'm sure we can have this one replaced with your new one!

Mike Dean mixed down a record on this album y'all.

For those who say Slaughterhouse has no buzz or isn't a big deal. What has this been up? an hour TOPS? The hit count is already at 321. That is completely fucking abnormal for our hit count. Most interviews for us don't hit that TOTAL. Slaughterhouse did in less than a hour.
-
I remember wale was talking about how jay z could put a new song out and it would receive half the attention that slaughterhouse does

I remember wale was talking about how jay z could put a new song out and it would receive half the attention that slaughterhouse does
jay z is a multi-millionaire who owns several companies and has tabloid attention for his even-more-famous girlfriend
anyone who thinks 4 BETTER, but much less known, rappers would gain the attention of a weakass watered down Jay-z song, is mistaken...lol!
offtopic, imagine how wack Jigga would sound on a song with Slaughterhouse, i mean he's like a Nino Bless with fame....very average flow and above average lyrics
-
I think Wale was playing around lol

great interview, great exclusive to get. not too much information about the album, but that's fine. i'm just looking forward to getting it come august 11th or whenever it leaks and i'm waiting on my copy ;D
and i agree about 'the one' - a lot of people don't like it (although i do) but you can't really bag on it lyrically and the beat is cool. i've played it to completely non hip-hop heads and they were really digging it. definitely got some great crossover appeal.
-
No it really is true though.Look at how much attention slaughterhouse gets.Somebody posts their album cover and it turns into a 5 page discussion
