Maybe its me just being nostalgic cause
It was just a passing feeling of love
cause check it, remember the girl with the braids?
she passed as you were workin tryin ta get paid
she looked like you love, and had your way
she took to me like I knew you would...
but her heart was weak and viens pumped no courageous blood
And when I looked closer
it was like nah, don't know her

I keep thinking I saw you love
In the way this couple would kiss and hug
As they walked the beach in the middle east
but is was just a mystical allusion of lost love

I keep thinking I saw you, love..

Remember that singer who sings "Cheri Boy"
yes its in another language but I still love it so much,
but she doesn't even know my name.

I keep thinkin I saw you, love.
Remember when you would sing "If I Ruled The World" on my television set?
yeah, but your much older, you don't know my name and I read about you.. seems you have somethin special already

I saw you, love.
Back in summer 96, I swear I did. You were my girl. But... but nothing, you were there, in my arms. But now you are only a memory.

I saw you again, love.
In 2003. You opened up a new world to me, and showed me a love that could conquer the universe, and made me believe in all the fairy tales....
but you were too far away, and yur others would not let us be.

I thought I saw you again, love...
Remember that girl that appeared so understanding, or the one that appeared to have great courage, or the one that was more beautiful than all others, or the one that my body desired...

but that was just a mirage, and I was the fool.

So where are you, love? Show yourself to me, before I forget your name. Before I don't want to learn. Before I have no courage. Before I won't let us be. And before I become a mirage and fool you.

you live in NY... I got a question.. how come it seems people seem like they love New York and talk about how great it is but yet they are depressed? Like I have a good friend he spent some time there talked about how great it was and he loved it and then ohhh by the way now he's having suicidal thoughts.
