The Dodger bullpen has indeed pitched a lot of innings this season, but for most of the year the club has carried 12 and sometimes 13 pitchers. The work has been spread out more than most teams. The Dodger bullpen has a lot more depth than anyone is willing to admit.
Look, I'm not against improving the team, even by bringing in a reliever. But, relievers by nature are volatile; they fluctuate from year to year. The very good ones, of which there are few, are coveted, and thus come with a high cost. It is unreasonable to want to give up any type of prospects to bring in a reliever, especially since the Dodger bullpen is already so good.
I just wish everybody realized that.
It's a shame that blogs analyze baseball better than these fucking chumps that follow the team on a daily basis. These reporters are quick to blame the internet for the downfall of the newspaper, they have to take a lot at themselves and realize they contribute to the problem with shitty writing. Now, thanks to that dumb ass Kevin Baxter, I have to deal with fucking morons bitching about the dodgers bullpen.

i dont know the numbers of our pen, but it has to be one of the top 2 or 3 in baseball. our pen if a BIG BIG reason why we have the record we do. BUT, the only problem i have is the amount of innings some of these guys are pitching. and this point wasnt brought up by baxter (honestly, i dont even know who that is, i dont read dodger blogs cause 99% of them are reh-tards), but it was brought up by vin scully. belesario has or is about to throw more innings so far, than he has ever thrown in a year. to me, thats something to at the very least be cautious about. he has been AMAZING for us. same goes for troncoso. these two have become torre's "go to" guys. and im worried that they will be burned out by the end of the season.
thankfully, mota has been lights out the last 5 or so weeks. if he keeps it up, and we have 3 guys who are lights out, then we're good. plus kuo is coming back soon, i just hope he stays healthy...cause this nigga is on another level when he is 100%.
unless we can get a good offer for a RP, we shouldnt make that our main focus. we should, however, look for more SP. if we had more starters going deep into games then our bullpen use wouldnt even be an issue. of course, most clubs want players who play everyday or every fifth day..and that aint gonna happen. someone needs to ask these clubs "why the fuck would we trade for X player and create a hole somewhere?!?". idk, it just seems that people always want more from the dodgers....i know these are just rumors from the hot stove, but clubs want guys like billingsley, kershaw, kemp...LOL. i literally laugh for 5 minutes when i see some of these rumors.
