Damn. I don't know about that one. I have to admit, I'm out of my depth at this point. lol Where's Effex when you need him? He probably knows.

Not sure if "So Gangsta" is "Untouchable" era, but it's very old... Sorry I don't have much information regarding that track, I'm sure someone knows though.
BTW: You can include these also as being part of the "Untouchable" era, whether or not they were actually going to be on the album or not...
-Crook Show
-House Party (OG)
-Jack 101
-Raw Dawgs
-Middle Finger Music
-Untouchable "feat. 2 Pac"
-
Damn I wish there was a more full version of Raw Dawgs. Personally I like Crooked in his Untouchable era more. Well Untouchable/DPG/18th Street era are my favorite shit by him.
-
Crook's Untouchable era tracks are fire. I hope we one day get to hear "Bang On Em", "Raw Dawgs" & "Crook Show" in full.

Although, I'm feeling his current music too.

I think he's more well rounded these days, but I'd definitely love to get my hands on a DPG/Untouchable era LP.
DAZ, you listening to this? RELEASE THAT PROJECT YOU HAVE!

Untouchable era is much better to me from the tracks that I have heard, no guests,no nonsense and the album was overseen by Big Hutch who is a west coast legend.....The Say Hi to the Bad Guy era had soem heaters n odoubt but it was also a bit commercial and had way, way too many guest appearances. Suge was too worried about the album not selling so he wanted to load up on lame guests like Sisqo, Ray J and Ja Rule.
-
The full version of the original "Bang On 'Em" better leak, the snippet sounds tight.
-
Say Bye To Tha Bad Guy
Real Thugs
Just out of curiosity where were these songs mentioned. I'm not doubting them, as I've heard of "Say Bye To Tha Bad Guy", but I'm just wondering so I can use that as a reference. Was that in those Death Row inventory documents?

I don't think these were mentioned online on an actual site that I know of. I know of 3 who have the Untouchable album, and some of the later material recorded, and most of the titles, and info on them stuck through discussion from years and years back. House Party snippet was put out a lot of years ago, I'm surprised people missed it

untouchable woulda definetly taken crooked i into a different path in his career, i can tell u that its 10 times better than shttbg.....
-
4 people then....
Untouchable is described as a classic West Coast album. If Suge had put this out on some (at the time) subpart distribution deal, and at hit gold maximum - which he would have with the 2 singles/videos scheduled it would have definitly increased awareness on him for his next release, and for Death Row as a whole, but Suge wanting to hit a deal that'd ensure platinum with this only weakened any chances of this ever being released

However, Say Hi would have taken him into a money making route. Has more mainstream hit type tracks.

Looking back to 2003 mainstream, Hood Star was a solid choice for a single. It's no surprise Petey Pablo took the beat in the studio and rapped over it. Simple impression, with a soft jingly melody and a simple hook was the range back then

I know, but to me IMPO, it would have secured negligibly renowned status as a West Coast classic, similar to that of Daz Dillinger's R.A.W. or King Tee's Triflin album

Not rap-wise. I'm talking about solid album construction overall

Crooked I probably would've been a much bigger name on the west if Untouchable was released. There are 2 versions of Untouchable correct? One produced by Daz & another one?

the untouchable tracks sounds like some underground shit...way too raw

for example ..dollars n my hand is a ok song but it sounds too underground and weird at the same time

raw dawgs was the track that i wanted to hear..think from the tracks that leaked from SHTTBG it was too commercial and guest orientated-for some reason i've always thought untouchable was more a solo album than a crooked i feat the row album
-
How come Daz hasn't released his version of the album actually?
-
How come Daz hasn't released his version of the album actually?
His plan was to release it after Say Hi To The Bad Guy dropped to steal some of Death Row's shine as well as capitalize off the name. I don't think he really has any interest in releasing those tracks anymore otherwise we probably would have heard it by now.
-
I'd rather hear his "Untouchable" project, and his "Say Hi To The Bad Guy" collections, other than his current B.O.S.S./COB material, because the Death Row tracks (and to a lesser extend - the Big C Style stuff) was what drawn me to him originally. His main appeal was his unique Raw, fast, versatile, lyrical ability. He rapped with a kind of off-par Jamaican twang with such strong metaphors, and came from the West. Death Row, my favourite label, had what appeared to be it's most talented lyricist ever repping Tha Row, and The West, and his music got me hyped for his upcoming projects. The Cold 187um underground hits, and even The Darren Vegas/Crook mixtape made his projects wanted highly.
As much as he still has talent, the vast amount of mixtape releases, with boring southern club sounding garbage beats, with him shouting out C.O.B., Clubs, Young Boss, Rims, Costing, Bosses etc. had put me off even bothering with his current stuff to be honest. Don't get me wrong, he still has huge talent on the MIC, and can spit raw fire, but musically - and what counts for 20% of me buying a CD, sucks at the moment, and I just prefer the chemistry and energy that hot beats from a good producer, and raw lyrics creates
