As usual, nothing Slaughterhouse-related is allowed to drop on-time, except for "The Revival," but that was only 4 tracks long.
-
They pushed back their album once and they had already told everyone they probably would.
-
And don't act like every single artist in hip hop right now doesn't push back their albums

Yes. And you're right, it is almost every release in hip hop. But it's getting old. I'm only singling these guys out because I actually care about their music coming out.
The actual "Slaughterhouse" album being pushed back doesn't really bother me that much because there was never really a concrete release date established. Also, Crooked I pretty much warned everyone in interviews that he didn't think that July time frame was realistic.
But c'mon, man. When it comes to the other releases, you have to admit it's getting old. First, "BOSS went from being a free download "coming soon," to not even being mentioned. Then "Pig Face, Weapon Waist" went from a July 14th release date to August 18. Then, "The Escape Route" went from July 21st to July 28th to "Coming Soon." I'm pretty sure "Street Hop," has been delayed multiple times too, but I'll give Royce credit for dropping "The Revival E.P." on time. Also, I have to say it was quality music and it was easy to find, that's why I supported it.
I'm not trying to be disrespectful to these guys as artists. If I disliked their music, I wouldn't give a shit if it ever came out. The point is, I do like the music. It just gets disappointing to see delay after delay. I thought the idea behind each member of Slaughterhouse releasing separate e.p.s was that each respective project was supposed to drop before the Slaughterhouse album, as a way to help promote the album. But it doesn't appear that that's going to work out now.

Oh I couldn't agree more. But as a west coast hip hop fan I'm pretty much immune to it now.Which isn't a good thing. If the number one selling artist lil wayne can't stick on a date how can you expect anyone

Yeah. For all I know, it might not even be their fault. Or maybe only partially their fault. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know everything there is to know about putting out a cd. From what is being said about Budden's "Escape Route," cd, he says he's sent it in, but the digital release company is claiming they don't have it yet. At least, that's one rumor that's going around right now. So, I accept that there are some things that can happen outside the artists' control that can affect the release date. It's just frustrating as a fan. I mean, as of Monday afternoon, I still thought "Escape Route" was going to drop today. I hadn't seen anything posted to the contrary. So it was kind of a disappointment to find out differently that close to the release date. I think I remember the situation with "Pig Face, Weapon Waist" was kind of like that too. From what I remember Effex was saying, they had that one pretty much ready to go too, right before the date was changed.
I guess I should be used to it by now too. As you said, it's a problem which pretty much affects most of hip hop.
