So now after all the shit that has gone on he told the Viks that he is not comming back. He has be come the biggest gimmick in sports over the last couple years.

He knew he wasn't going to come back from the beginning of last season. He was just fucking with the vikings so it fucks their season up and the packers could be contenders in the NFC North. That's My take on this.

I don't think it's a joke. He's at a time in hs life when he's not sure about what he should do and it must be hard for him. You know asa team what you're getting yourself into when you get involved with him now so it's no more the Vikings fault than it is Favre's.

they should try a new offense, where Vick lines up as the running back but him & Jackson just keeping flipping the ball to each other & then either run or pass, it would be the greatest football games to watch.

He had a disappointing year yeah but he was still young so I wouldn't say he was on the "down side", but I do agree that it's defnitely not a given that he's gonna be great when he comes back.

I'm actually a little glad because with him under center they'd be a real SB contender and then it'd be hard for me to cheer against him, and I'd rather Peyton win another to help me shut up Brady fans.
I'm still mad he came back last year. No Favre on the Jets means no explosive start to their season, no Pennington on Miami, and 12-4, possibly 13-3 Patriots go into the playoffs and maybe even win the whole thing and then Brady might be the one stinking it up in KC this year. Stupid Favre.

Running gag or not, the only chance the Vikings have at a Superbowl next year with the the healthy arm of Bret Favre. Even if they get Vick they'll be a game shy of the playoffs. That's my prediction anyway. Healthy Favre=at least an appearance in the NFC Championship. No Favre=at best 10-6, 2nd in division, and ranked 7th overall.

yeah but thats not the point...he almost took them to the playoffs... the jets were at only 2 wins before him and when he went to the jets by game 12 they were 8-3 and even beat the Titans
plus he was complaining about his arm that last game against Miami... which is probably the reason for those interceptions
and dont forget about those 5 or 6 bombs he threw for touchdown passes against the cardinals

The jets made tons of moves that off season and completely revamped the team it was favre that single handedly help them.He did help but then he was also the reason they missed the playoffs.He was awful the second half of the season

That doesn't change the fact that right now he is the only way the Vikings make the Superbowl. I'm not saying he could go anywhere and win, or that the Vikings have nothing with out him. But there is no available QB for that offense to win in the post season anywhere near as good as Bret Favre.
And complain all you want about how he played hurt and lost for the Jets. But tell me exactly what chance the Jets had if Favre sat off when he was hurt, or never came in the first place. At 8-3 if Clemens came in maybe they could have gone 11-5 and won the tie break and then gotten eaten alive aainst the Ravens. Maybe. But if Favre never came and Chad stayed in that system. They lose to the Cards, the Pats twice, the Titans, The Bills once or twice, the Chargers, the Broncos and the Niners. So with no Favre last year the Jets lose at least 8 games. No playoffs. No possibility of playoffs.
