Today is no different, as Dubcnn caught up with The Game for an exclusive video interview. We sat down with "the kid with no home" at two different stops during his world tour for a 2-part feature.
He is already heavy into promoting his upcoming record "The R.E.D. Album" in new songs, recent interviews and video blogs, but for part 1 of the feature we take some time out to talk about his life on the road and travelling through Africa and Europe. We also cover a couple random topics and find out which song he relates to the most from his whole catalogue and why he never featured any of his Black Wall Street artists on his albums. Last but not least, Game expresses his opinion about fans getting involved in his beefs.

Dubcnn: You always separate your Black Wall Street business from your solo projects, since there werent any BWS artists on any of your albums. Do you keep that balance on purpose or what's the thought behind that move?
The Game: When one of my Black Wall Street artists gets big enough, then I will feature them on my album. But until then they gotta grind the mixtapes like I did.
What? Nobody thinks that Game came big from just doing mixtapes....for fucks sake. HE WOULD NOT BE BIG WITHOUT G-UNIT CO-SIGN AND ALBUM ON AFTERMATH. ::)
Sounds more like an excuse to not put people on your records because you are Jimmys bitch and you ain't got the balls to put them on. I mean if rappers want some talented guys to shine, they put them on their records without bitching how "they aint big enough".
Isn't that what it's supposed to do, make them bigger. :laugh:

Game just wastes opporunitys with BWS! he needs to hire someone to run it as a record label, he was saying 3/4 years ago "the artists gotta grind like i did" then what?.. It seems like he doesnt want to release artists albumjs for whatever reason, think of all the money thats to be made with clyde carson, every month he hasnt got an album or single out he's losing money, so he might as well drop him from b.w.s, its pointless beyond belief
he signs all these artists, lets them create a name for themselves just by being with him, and then he lets other record labels come and sign them so they can make money from them.... just doesnt make sense

I think its as much to do with Interscope telling him how the album should go as much as it is Game wanting to wait till they're big enough to stand alongside him.
You gotta say its a motivator for the artists themselves - they know they gotta grind if they want some recognition!

Dope interview Jay, way to get the big artist interview.
I think the whole point of having someone like Game put you on is that you don't need to build your own movement from scratch. You bypass that by getting the cosign from a major artist, ie Game and 50 Cent/Shady/Dre.

Game was grindin a bit but hadnt built a buzz until Dre got involved. After that the buzz was pretty good even before G Unit got involved. Game may not be as lyrically good as some other cats Dres put on but his vocals and charisma is something people cant be taught, you have it or you dont. I think Dre would still fuck with him if he wasnt busy beefin all the time esp with 50 Cent

The real reason I think he hasn't put anybody from BWS on his album is because BWS doesn't have a deal yet. So if he puts one of his artist on the album and the artist shines, a running label can snatch that artist up leaving Game with nothing to show for it.
Naw fuck that, if yall supposed to be squad you put your niggas on. Clyde Carson need to be on his next shit, if anybody in Black Wall. You put him on a song and that just might be the reason BWS gets a record deal. I can't say that about anybody else on BWS except for maybe that kid Elijah he got.

You do remember the homie being down with Get Lo Records before Aftermath right?
The thing is, I couldn't stand his Shine flow back in them days and can't really see how that got him a deal with the Math. He definately stepped up by the time of Youknowwhatitis Vol.1. You got to remember putting out the mixtapes is the grind so Game did his.
