Chiefs coach Scott Haley has been pretty pissed off at the receivers during training camp. I guess one guy dropped 3 of the first 4 balls thrown his way, so Matt Cassel just stopped throwing to him all-together. And after practices he's been chewing out the receivers telling them that the dropped balls are unacceptable. Haley used to be a recievers coach back in the day, and he's assessed it as being one of the biggest problem spots for the team.
So anyway, he picked up Amani Toomer from New York. I wonder why it's taken this long for any team to pick him up because I always remembered him doing really well. He's 34, but I've seen other recievers still play well at that age.

Decent pickup. Better than most options they have at WR anyways. Don't expect anything crazy though. 30-40 catches this year.

let's just say, Amani isn't going to push the Chiefs over the top. :P

yes
if you're looking for 500 yards and 5-8 TD's

Matt Cassel isn't doing shit this year, if he throws 8 TD's all year i would be surprized. :P

^ I wouldn't say he's gonna have a bad season but there's no denying that having Moss/Welker and playing in New England's system helped his stats a lot.

it has nothing to do with him, but he has no support around him.
in a few years he might be able to turn that team around, but next year with Amani Toomer they might as well find their top 5 college prospects, because they're going to get one of them lol.

lol, of course; but he won't win their & he won't even see the stats he saw last year for a few years, maybe more; like what 360 said.

Matt Cassel brought up a good point in an interview, he said that when New England started off the year badly, they said it was all his fault. Then when they were playing great at the end of the year, now they still say "It was the New England system, Moss/Walker".
So which is it? I will tell you one thing, Piloli and Haley know what they are doing, and they wouldn't have given him the big contract they did unless they knew for sure this dude was for real.
