Title: Vegas Recommendations
Post by: Sikotic™ on August 06, 2009, 07:07:15 PM
What is a good place to stay at Vegas that's on the strip, somewhat affordable, and not too sleazy. I am too classy for your average peon to get put up in a Motel 6. Your suggestions are welcome.

Ive been to a Vegas a million times. If you want hella affordable, on the strip...but not no Motel 6 shit. Hit up Imperial Palace or even fuck with Stratosphere if you dont mind bein at the end of the strip. If you want a lil bit of an upgrade but not payin Bellagio money, maybe Ballys.

I've been there twice.  First time it was at Excalibur and Imperial Palace next time.  They were two of the less expensive places on the strip.
I like Imperial better outta the two because it was right in the middle of the strip.  The rooms were so so, didn't really care, was in the casinos and the clubs/bars most of the time.  I wouldn't call it sleazy and it certainly wasn't as nice as your Bellagios or your Caesars'.
I'm going back in a few months and thinking of the MGM Grand but not sure yet.

ASAP lol

I figured I got the rest of the week off and I might as well make the most of it.

Stratusphere is cool, but I've been there a million times so I was thinking about venturing more towards the center of the strip if possible. Bally's looks pretty cool so I'ma check out their rates.

A homie told me about Excalibur too so I will look into that too. I really don't care about the rooms, its more about location on the strip for me. As long as I can walk over to most of the major casinos for less than $150 a night then I'd be real happy.

Thanks, niggas.

Try the Flamingo. They got some nice rooms also. Hooters is great price wise but ehh on the rooms but they cheap during the week. Monte Carlo has some decent rates as well. And lol at it was 119 here last week. It has only been 110 once maybe twice this year, summer has not been as bad as others and you only got really this month left and it will cool down.

Yeah I was just checking Hooters and they got some crazy deals but I've been there and the spot is a lil iffy lol.

I might just head out the middle of next week when its the cheapest. I'm used to hot weather out here so the heat in Vegas doesn't really phase me.

really? Ive been out there in the summer when it hit 118...so i didnt think it would be too far fetched to hit 119 at the end of July.

Nah it has not been that hot in years down here. Phoenix yeah, but not Vegas. We had a late summer, which is cool in my book.

Yeah I stayed there too a couple nights. They just threw some paint on parts of the building and that was about it. Rooms look like stage props lol.

So I got it down to these choices:

Monte Carlo( w/ unspecified amount of food and booze credit)
Paris
New York, New York
Luxor (w/ $25 food credit....which ain't really shit in Vegas lol)

They're all relatively in the same price range. Which would y'all go for?

Monte Carlo for sure. Ive always wanted to stay at the Luxor. But remember, that shit is at the end of the strip...the others are right in the middle...especially Monte Carlo.

Get on some of the casino websites and register. I get promos all the time from NYNY, luxor, paris u name it all have smokin rates because of the season and economy. Vegas is great.

My girl went during the week a couple months ago and stayed at Planet Hollywood.  It was cheaper than when I stayed at Bally's.  Next time I go I'll probably stay at Planet Hollywood.  It seems geared more toward the younger folk.  Lots of D-Bags tho.

Thanks for the suggestion peoples. I just booked 3 nights at Paris, Las Vegas. It's only $55.00 a night. Shit used to be $250+ a night for the same room so I figure I got a decent deal and it's smack dab in the middle of the strip. It will be lovely because I havent been to Vegas in a minute. I'm looking forward to it even though I got a ton of shit to do at the moment lol.
