Post by: Myrealname on October 29, 2002, 12:25:55 PM
Why dj quik is tired of the music industry blah blah bah when his new album "Under the influence" has sold 509.000 copies ?
I mean, gold for an "underground" artist like him is a nice status....he's not broke or under a bridge !

He is prob fed up of being called an underground rapper. He wants to be world wide recognised like Dre, Eminem, Nate, Snoop.  He knows he has got the talent but he is just prob fed up of ppl taking his shit for granted like.

Yeah 100k sounds more like the real number. I feel he should of put on more westcoast artists (Snoop, Xzibit) to help boost the sales.

Under the Influence has sold 137,659 units according to current SoundScan data. RIAA also has no record of GOLD certification for this project.

Too bad, the man deserves another Gold plaque.
