sup Peeps, i was just wondering, realistically, who do u think is next to blow....meaning what label.....and or artist or groups.......
personally i think Murder inc has run its course....if not...i hope its dead already....i am beyond Ja fool jackin tupac.....and on the Pledge...had the nerve to put pac as one of the artist...i know they used his beat, but man, let the guy rest.........but n e wayz....
shit p. diddy has new edition, and loon,
i dont really see snoop doing too much besides his album, nobody is really anticipating his artist, like they anticipate him.........
ROC maybe..? jay ?
Holiday Season is here...who or what label is gonna run shit going into 2003?
To Be Honest i have no idea....way too much bubble gum Bullshit out there now....i used to look forward to Every Tuesday to pick up some new shit.....less than half the shit that comes out now aint worth it....
props to Eminem, Shady Records, for droppin some thing good, and the underground acts...that can actually get there shit into tower and other records stores....cause this mainstream shit..aint happenin no more... on a side note the Lil Flip CD is bangin...RIP DJ Screw
Next Label to blow....shady records.....50 Cent....its a beautiful combo...
-
I doubt Shady Records has a chance...I hope so, but I also doubt it...PeACe
-
AfterMath...
Dre
Cube
X
Rakim
-
i luvv dre and everything and everybody down with aftermath, but as we all know, dre takes his time with his releases.......The wash...was soso.....it was good, but didnt do well, truth hurts....i dont think went gold........em is the only person carrying the label right now.......i dont think dre plans to release anything between now and the end of the year.....be cool if he did release rakim, and then detox......do still smokin tour next summer......but....
its hard to think what label is gonna run shit....gasp......bad boy?!?!?!
-
Jus Family got somethin goin on... Bosco is a very talented producer, but they'll never get as big as Murder Inc is now... :-[
-
AfterMath...
Dre
Cube
X
Rakim
Thats the shit!! 2 bad people dont dont realize that its Dre who´s gonna run shit from now! Someone said BadBoy!?(laughs) N I G G A P L E A Z E ! ! ?
-
AfterMath...
Dre
Cube
X
Rakim
X isn't on Aftermath... but I agree, this will be the label for 2003. Cube, Rakim will de droppin albums, and Detox will de droppin as well. Those 3 will combine for at least 10-12 million album sales. No competition.

Xzibit and Open Bar is the next to blow up.
Xzibit and Ras Kass is all you need. That's more dangerous than Jay-Z and Beanie Siegle. From there, you add Defari, and add others, you got a great roster ready to blow.
-
ya'll think its aftermath for that Azz for 2003?
Hmmm will i have to admit, 50 Cent will help them when he drops this year..... but after that, i dont know, being with dre, u might just release one or two albums....that is why its cool to see em release his own shit and produce his own shit............cash money is dead....anybody down south???
face and def jam south?
-
Aftermath/Shady will run shit again like they did in '99/'00 if the releases meet their dates.
Eminem - The Eminem Show
50 Cent - Get Rich Or Die Trying
Rakim - Oh My God
Dr. Dre - Detox
Ice Cube - Untitled
-
yea aftermath is on da rise !!!

I'll go against the grain "Tha Row"
They have the young talent and the venom to outspit any crew out there.
"Kurupt" {An accomplished vet}
"Crooked I" {A Hungry Lion}
"Eastwood" {Ready to roll}
"Roscoe?" {A Young vet....ready to prove}
And a revolving door of artist's that can change at anytime....who elses has disposable talent like "Tha Row"..?
??? Oh yeah!! "Aftermath" {Hitman...King Tee}
Yo that bunch right there by "Tha Row" look's tight az fuck..ImO
Nexx year set to jump off for all the label's tho.
I'm lookin' for "Tha Row" to make huge noise nexx year 2003.
Don't let someone else's money problem's cloud ya brain youngsta's...what they eat don't make yall' shitt..

im in agreement wit both wcv and hatesrats...the aftermath staff is lookin very solid...lots of big names....but u never know wit suge...he can do some amazing things....if he brings juvi in he will get the south audience...hes gonna start gettin the commercial audience wit his collabs with attempted murder inc....plus he will get the east coast lookin at crooked i since hes very lyrical...if roscoe is on the line up then eastwood and him are gonna be the youngstas leadin us into the next generation of hip hop...thats one thing aftermath lacks...youngsters...everyone there is near 30s or well into their 30s....
-
itll probably be some label that comes out of nowhere.

I agree...
They can get big too, but only if they keep it tight with Murder INC.
They won't get as big as Ja and them, but ppl will know them if they keep the
connection to Murder INC, cause they are very commercial.
-
Im going foir Tha Row, I think they'll blow up 2003, I heard they got a soundtrack for some dudes film which will be good exposure.

ROSCOE is not on tha row!
-
Tha Row can blow up but only through gimmicks, like their past success, Suge dissing everyone and their mothers, their affiliation with Murder INC, and so on. They have yet to show anything real, all they are is talk so far. I think Crooked will do well, and I really hope he does because he wants the west to rise and thats all that matters, but other than that I don't have much faith in Tha Row, put it this way I highly doubt they'll be even remotely as big and great as Death Row was.

Aftermath & DoggHouse
and Tha Row

Yo EUTHANASIA you hit on some good points, but lets be frank, now I aint dissing what you said, your saying THA ROW will never be as big as they were, which I agree with, that shit is a one off, but compared to the labels now they cant even compare to Deathrow or will be as big as Deathrow, now if THA ROW achieve half of the success they had in the past, theyll sure be considered a success, hell if any label can come close they'll be considered a success,
Aftermath and Dogghouse have potential but have yet to show us how big they could be, the thing is Deathrow was big from day 1.................something no label has yet to do. Or in my opinion will do for a veeeeerrry long time.

Yall got it all twisted, Aftermath, R.O.C. & Doggystyle blew up a long time ago.

Doggystyle records can't compete with Shady records....i mean i dont wanna see e-white or soopafly in a battle with 50 cent or obie trice.
Shady records got incredible artists and tight producers,no chance for doggystyle records to blow up like aftermath and shady records.
