The only thing about a Dogg Pound Record, is that most of the older stuff is better than the new stuff. That's why WE want to hear the unreleased music. Not hating Daz, but its true.

Daz should just take the money what they are offerin' him and let them release the music. They don't need permission from Daz or Kurupt to release the material, right?
-
So, let me get this straight Daz is mad because they aren't offering him a record deal?

lol. "They tryna short change us"..... The music industry isn't what it used to be, and hot albums are lucky to sell around 100K, what the hell is Daz expecting??? At least they're being honourable in communicating with the artists before releasing material that they are "entitled" to release freely.
& yeh that "shyt" is old, and Daz and co. have heard it, but the mass public haven't and record sales should indicate exactly what kind of material sells, and what the public enjoy most and that is the DR material.
If I was WIDEawake I'd release a 2 disc compilation titled "DPGC" and have Daz, Kurupt, Snoop, Nate Dogg, Soopafly, Tray Dee, Bad Azz & Crooked I
I'm sure it'd go gold at the most with some decent promo

No way it would go gold, it would sell 50K max. People don't buy albums anymore. I dont get why Daz is complaining, he can get paid off it, he should be happy they want to release it, better getting some $$ off it than having it set in the vaults.
-
It would go Gold "maximum". If they got Snoop on board, and the rest of the DPG (except Daz) and had it spread on some Hip Hop magz, and the net, and possibly a one of video for one of the songs, I think it could go gold. It'd contain artists who have strong support. Snoop, Crooked I, Nate Dogg etc.

the only people who wanna hear old dpg music are dubcc members and pretty soon they wont even care
the longer they wait to release the shit, the less it's gonna sell
-
daz is a loser who's last hottest beat was my life wit t.i. and i think that was because shorty b co produced it. daz needs dre to school him again. wideawake is doing what death row shoulda been doing which is put out a lotta great hip hop that was never released when it shoulda been.
-
as long as WA release good music,,but they been planning 2 long, i hope they dont end up like GMG.

Well....he sounded more positive about the possibility of working with Wideawake than before. It sounded like it was still far from a sure thing. Hopefully things work out. Of course, Wideawake is going to look after their own interests first. But I do think they're serious about making sure that all the former artists get paid.
