Did y'all know that Snoop Dogg's first verse on the song was ghostwritten by Bad Azz?
On "Death Row's Snoop Doggy Dogg Greatest Hits" Bad Azz isn't credited as a writer though, just Snoop Dogg, Raphael Saadiq & Daz.
I remember somebody sayin' that Suge Knight didn't really care about who got the credits on the booklets on Death Row's albums. I remember somebody sayin' that Daz Dillinger got the credits for a few beats that was really produced by DJ Quik on "All Eyez On Me" and shit like that.
It don't matter who wrote what though, even if Soulja Boy wrote it, it's still a CLASSIC. Here it is for all y'all who ain't heard it yet or don't have it (in CDQ 320kbps)

ya, suge was fucked. but if any1 knows the tribulations & hardships of not being fully or rightfully credited for the work/writing they did it's be The D.O.C.

Classic song. Wasn't it meant for a snoop album in 97?

On the promo it says additional lyrics by Bad Azz. Strange that this info is not on the compilation.

never heard about it.all i know is that dj quik was credited as david blake, so suge didnt had to pay quik´s label (profile?).

yeah..too many credits missed on (some?) death row albums.but isnt it like that, that if you got "credited", you will get your money and if not, you will not, so thast why suge did it. he didnt credit the artists, so he doesnt have to pay them officially and he bought them watches, cars, etc.?
even if Soulja Boy wrote it
;D

i think soopa did that beat actually

Snoop was making a lot of mediocre and below average music around this time, and this song definitely did not fall into those categories. Shame it didn't get a proper release on Doggumentary.

that's crazy shit. Snoop's second verse was one he used a lot on old songs.
-
snoop dogg openly admitted that bad azz wrote his first verse on that song in some interview
idt he really finds it to be a big deal. the other verse he had was from "moms are crying" which yes was recycled a few times.

Yeah that's the one I've got. Death Row are known for changing credits over subsequent releases, but stuff usually got the right names on originally.

yeah and also a shame that it wasn't a bigger hit record
-
this song really sounds like it should have been a 2pac song

this song really sounds like it should have been a 2pac song
explain ?? i don't think it sounds like anything 2pac would have touched.
-
Yeah, DJ Quik mixed alot of those songs on All Eyez On Me. I don't think Daz stole credit from him on the production tip. Quik just made alot of those songs sound great and put his touches on them. I think that's as close as you can get to a Daz and Quik production collaboration. SMH! Dope!!!
