This contest is a tribute to Dr. Dre as one of the greatest Hip Hop producers of all times. Re-Mix Producers log on to www.deathrowmusic.com, opt in to enter to win, download the stems and accapella for Dr. Dre’s classic Nothing But A G Thang
So - Think you got the skills? Download the accapella and provided stems and produce your own beat for the song and submit to us for a chance to win! 5 Winners will be chosen and will have their work pressed on vinyl and for promotion distribution to DJ pools, as well as serviced to clubs and radio stations across the country!
But wait there is more, we are creating a Dr. Dre tribute page so to win you must also write and submit a 500 words or less essay on how Dr. Dre influenced you as a producer.
The winners will be judged on the strength of their track AND their essay.
Once you have completed your remix and written your essay email both (song in 128k mp3 format only) to: remix@deathrowmusic.com remember to include all of your contact information as stated in the terms and conditions.
Remixes are for promotional use only! No retail or digital sale!!
There is no age limit but check the rules if you are under 18 years of age.
Submission period is August 20, 2009 to September 30, 2009.
On or around October 20, 2009, the Judges will have completed their review and determined and announced the 5 winners.
EACH RE-MIX CONTEST PRIZE winner will receive: A complete set of all Death Row releases commercially available through Death Row’s North American Distributor. The five winning re-mixes will also be included with the original song on a collector’s vinyl LP edition for promotional use only to service to clubs, DJ pools, radio (digital versions) including promotion of the winning entrants in all press and promotion for the life of the project. Winning Entrant’s Essays will also be incorporated into the packaging and promotion of the winning remixes.

I really think this is one of the best remixes ever made.Shit just brings a whole new vibe to the song and sounds amazing.Equal to the original for me

nothing special, i mixed wideawake radio mix acapella (diff lyrics) with the maxi cd single instrumental which sound a little bit different from lp version
