Juventus, my team, is in the same group of Bayern M., once again. I'm pretty sure my team and 7even's one will qualify, but Bordeaux looks like a good team.
The other teams i support are Barcelona in Spain (and they'll advance with Inter), Arsenal (my 2nd fav team) and they'll advance and AZ, and i think they'll fight with Olympiakos for the 2nd sport (i'm supporting them).
Overall a good draft.

Group G has potential to be nice  ;)

2 league champions in that group, always good that in the champions league.

Hopefully we can make it through and there is a chance of that, and i'll be shocked if we can't finish at least 3rd.

GROUP F - Barcelona, Inter

GROUP G - Sevilla, Stuttgart

GROUP H - Arsenal, AZ Alkmaar

I think Wolfsburg might surprise people being a 4th seed. They are a good side and have a good chance of the last 16.

The rest of the qualifiers write themselves really. Don't predict any upsets.

And yes I'm backing AZ, they've got a good draw.

Agreed. Actually, I'm more confident that Wolfsburg will make it than Bayern. But never say never, I think now that Munich bought Robben they will make sure also (but, their defense is shit..you never know for that matter). Stuttgart has no chance though.

Edit: Fuck Alkmaar.

Good match last night against the 2009 champions winners. 1st half has been balanced, the 2nd much better Barca.
Sneijder is fuckin amazing, but yesterday the best players have been Chivu Lucio and Samuel (along sneijder)....its not easy against a team like Barca.  8)

I'll take the 1-0 loss in Chelsea. We looked good, putting on some serious pressure near the end. Falcao should have tied it in extra time but oh well. Cech also made a great save on Varela a little prior to that.

More important than our loss is that Athletico laid an egg at home against APOEL. It will be between us and Athletico to advance 2nd.

‘Typical Germans’ – Sir Alex Ferguson  ::)
Sir Alex Ferguson reacted furiously to Manchester United crashing out of the Champions League quarter-finals last night, branding Bayern Munich as “typical Germans” after accusing them of getting Rafael Da Silva sent off.

United threw away a three-goal lead as Bayern capitalised on Rafael’s dismissal in the 50th minute for a second bookable offence to set up a semi-final meeting with Lyons and ensure that England will have no representatives in the last four for the first time in seven years.

Despite losing 3-2 on the night, a dramatic volley from Arjen Robben, the former Chelsea winger, 16 minutes from time was enough to see Bayern progress on the away goals rule after the tie had finished 4-4 on aggregate.

Ferguson’s surprise decision to start with Wayne Rooney also backfired, the England striker aggravating the injury to his right ankle that he sustained during the 2-1 first-leg defeat in Germany last week. Rooney suffered a burst blood vessel just below the joint and is a doubt for the Barclays Premier League match away to Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.

Ferguson was seething with Bayern, accusing their players of pressuring Nicola Rizzoli into sending off Rafael by surrounding the Italian referee, and of deliberately targeting Rooney.

Rafael was booked in the first half for a foul on Mark van Bommel before being given his marching orders after pulling back Franck Ribéry. Despite Ferguson’s remarks, only five of the Bayern starting XI are German.

“The sending-off changed the game, no doubt about that,” the United manager, who had seen his side race into a 3-0 lead with Nani scoring twice after Darron Gibson’s opener, said. “They would have never won if we had 11 men. They got him sent off — typical Germans.

“They surrounded the ref and got him sent off. I thought they were typical professionals in the way they saw the opportunity and forced the referee. The ref wasn’t going to do anything but they forced him to get a card out. But we’ve seen that before from teams like that.”

Ferguson also felt that Rooney was roughly treated. The striker was hurt in a challenge with Daniel van Buyten in the 21st minute and then rolled on his right ankle, aggravating his injury.

Asked if Bayern targeted Rooney, Ferguson said: “I think that’s obvious in the main. The ref has got to handle that. It was never a serious injury but he’s been unlucky because he’s gone over on it again.

“He’s had a couple of challenges on it and didn’t get any protection, but we expected that, too. He did everything I could ask for.” Asked about the injury, Rooney said he felt “all right”.

Louis van Gaal dismissed Ferguson’s claims. “I don’t share his opinion,” the Bayern coach said. “Part of being in football is control. Every player must know that if he picks up a yellow card, a second yellow means a sending-off.

“I believe it was a yellow-card offence and that the player made the foul. We shall never know [if United would have won the game had it stayed 11 versus 11] because this game shall not be played again.

“It’s easy to say that after a loss. I think Sir Alex was disappointed . . . I thought England was noted for fairness."

Fergie is an arrogant prick. Every time they lose he blames it on the ref. His team simply screwed it, and he also made some major mistakes.
lol @ 'typical germans', you know any professional team in the world would demand a card for this.  ::)The ManU players would've done the same, so stfu and take the L Fergie.
The only one who should be blamed is his own team.
