Title: More of Jay-Z’s Interview in XXL..Speaks on Jim Jones & Game ["Game, I’m his f**
Post by: Trav Treezy on September 01, 2009, 09:34:47 AM
XXL: Speaking of Jim Jones, he and cats like The Game stay throwing shots at you, referring to you as old and washed-up. But you’ve always thrived off that type of competition. So, currently in the most comfortable position of your career, how competitive are you?

Jay-Z: Not really that competitive, because the competition isn’t based on real competition. I mean, Game, I’m his fuckin idol. If you ask him and he’s being truthfully honest with you…it’s just based off his insecurities and, for the most part, pretension. That type of competition doesn’t do anything for me. It’s almost like someone trying to set you up, and everyone knows they’re to set you up, and everybody. It’s just dumb. It’s not in the spirit of competition, because he’s not competition for me. He’s not. Not then, not ever—he’d have to improve considerably. Competition for me competition is Nas, Eminem. Like Jim Jones? That’s ridiculous to me. So how do I respond to that? I can’t win. If I win, then they’ll be like, “See. Now chill. You’re a fuckin’ bully.” And if manages to throw a haymaker from the West Coast, then it’s like “Oooooh.” It’s not even fun. Like, before I did it, because I would diss anybody. Now who has time to do this shit everyday? But before, when I was running after the little fat nigga from Ma$e’s camp, I was doing anybody. Anybody said anything. If I thought you said something. When I was running in the streets, I wanted all that type of activity. Nobody wanted nothing. Now everybody’s a tough guy.

Before he says These dudes are no competition.. he should compare the Leaks of Blueprint 3 with their previous albums. Blueprint 3 is really starting to turn into straight trash.

A good beat doesnt make a good song. Jay ruined a few good beats already with these leaks.

that may be so but by album number 14 you deserve to have a lil garbage in ya catalouge, the truth of the matter is his track record is filled with timeless hit records and plenty of dope ass hip hop quotables, and game cannot compare, he is no competiton, if u judge from just during the time period that game has been having jay's name in his mouth in every other verse, jay wins during that period and before and still sales more than game and has a fresher, flyer, stronger, more confident image than does jayceon

In saying this I am a Game fan, bought all his albums, but Jay-Z got a point. It is clearly obvious that Game has a borderline man crush on Jay, at the very least he looks up to him. And it eats at him that Jay will not collaborate with him. So he goes back n forth to either diss or praise him. Like the G Unit beef, he needs to just let it go and keep it moving.

The thing is Jay understands the game too well (no pun intended there) and he kind of spelt it out. It makes no logical sense to feud with a younger underdog because even if you beat his ass on wax, you still just made his career for him. He broke it down like if he thought Game's stuff was hard enough to get him to respond, he would have as a competitive person. He more or less addressed both Game and Jim Jones and there is kind of a point because both of them came swinging with promotional possibilties so clearly in their head. Didn't Jones drop a fucking press conference for his diss or was that Cam'ron?

Whether you liked dude or not, he paid his dues. In 1999-2000, he was like a walking target. His catalog is sometimes hit and miss with me but "Blueprint" was banging and he only had like 1 guest on the whole album. "Black Album" was practically an instant classic. And whille his legendary status might be more debatable than most of his peers, his success speaks for itself. From a career perspective, Jay's sitting on top of the world. Game's still waiting to launch his own label. With the G-Unit beef played out, it seemed like he need to throw another rock but it looks to have missed its mark.

I can sum this up easy.

Jay Z - A retard, old ass moron who doesn't know shit and bites the best rhymes from other rappers. (Notably biggie).

Game - A moron, beefs over nothing, Ryhmes contain nothing but NAMES of other rappers, every time he references Rap history he seems to fuck up on the time it actually happened, or how old someone was when they died (claiming 2pac was 24 was fail).

This so called Beef - Is bullshit, Its not real, I would say "the media filled it" but then again its not really a huge issue. He released 1 track cause Jay Z dropped his name 1 time. If we go by that logic he should of been dissed over 72 times (last time I counted).Game despite being a fan is a retard for this. Jay Z is stuck up his own ass. His ass wasn't a legend, he had only 1 good album, and this entire shit is nothing but faggotry on both ends.

That's was Cam with the press conference. But you got to give it to Jim Jones when he connected Jayz vocals when he did a freestyle off Ballin taking shots at Jim, and Jim made it the Remix and gave the album new life.

Difference between biting a rhyme and just name-dropping. Though honestly what's worse is when ever he does some history shit he ALWAYS GETS THE DATE WRONG!!! Fucking guy claims west, wants to bring hip-hop back wtf does he do? He releases a sell out album, that sells out 2 the mainstream sound, topics and isn't west coast sounding at all. Then to top it off he gets a tribute track on their were he goes past name dropping and LITERALLY DOES THE STYLE, but 2 make the bullshit worse, he doesn't do any of the West Coast styles anything like the rappers and actually manages to mimic THE ONLY EAST COAST GUY IN THE SONG 2 PERFECTION.

He's a fucking retard, then to top it off worse, he gets 2pac's age wrong in the tribute track. Honestly I'm a fan of the game, but IMO he is a moron. He acts like a retard when it comes to beef, he acts like a stupid ass when it comes to other rappers and past beef, and then he is literally becoming what a sell out is on nearly every aspect. R.E.D. Album better be like Doctors Advocate, but even then the track that was leaked sounded like a fuckin RnB. Hopefully that other track we heard will be on the album and not a left over...
