This song is simply incredible.Call me stuck in the 90's and shit all you want, but this song has the classic Death Row mid 90's sound to it, that dark thumping G-funk sound to it that Dre and Sneed were working on.C.P.O. might not be so dope lyrically but I really dig his style.Out of the songs we've got from Wideawake, I think this is the best.
If I should put them in any oder
Foo Nay Mic
Slippin' In The West (Kurupt murders it)
I Roc Mics (Kurupt murks it again)
Back In Bed Again
Smoke On
the rest

I agree that the song is amazing. It sounds like it was from the Murder Was The Case sessions. This song and Smoke Enough Bud are the best ones so far in my opinion.
-
Yes, it is. After hearing it I want WideAwake to release CPO's unreleased DR album 8)
-
CPO has got the dopest flow ever!
And this song bumps hard as fuck, even in non cdq.
I'm thinking Dre definately had something to do with this beat, maybe a Sneed/Dre co-production...

I'm probably the last person to notice this, but did everyone else notice this songs seems to tell a story that connects directly to the "Poor Young Dave" track. I was just playing these today and noticed that. Tight track, btw.
-
yeah i noticed that.
-
I think this song was supposed to be on the "Murder Was The Case" soundtrack since it's "connected" with "Poor Young Dave" that is the original version of "MWTC".
EDIT: Well, maybe not but you never know :D

Looking forward to hearing more CPO ish in the future, the two relit joints go hard.
-
The CPO song on relit is great, but their album sucked

I also saw or heard rather, the connection between "Poor Young Dave" and "Foo Nay Mic"..... CPO is incredible. Great flow, original and unique voice. I hope WIDEawake releases his full body of work from Deathrow. That would make for an amazing album!!! "Foo Nay Mic" takes the #1 slot for me on The Chronic Re-Lit.

This is definitely the best song from WA so far. I'm also a huge fan of back in bed again.
-
Yup, Snoop does mention Mic in Poor Young Dave.Back In Bed Again is amazing!

Yeah, that's what I thought. Definitely sounds like two parts of the same story.

CPO also mentioned he recorded 4 tracks with 'Pac, 2 of them are still unreleased if I'm correct 8)

i can see why y'all like CPO's most known style, but as i've said before, his old style was better IMO:
