I dunno, it's weird...After hearing all the negetive responses about the Doggystyle Records Compilation ("Snoop Dogg Presents...Doggystyle All Stars"), I decided not to pick it up...But recently I saw it sitting in the Record Store, and decided "what the heck, I'll give it a shot"...So I bought it, I bumped it front to back a couple of times, and I actually liked it...Now this was a big surprise to me...Especially since I haven't really been feeling Snoop's recent shit...I think there are some bangers on this album...My favorite cuts are "Dogghouse America" and "Light that Shit up"...Overall, I'd say this album is not as bad as I expected...I'll give it a 3.9/5...So if you haven't picked this album up yet cuz of the negetive reviews, i suggest you give it a shot, cuz u might actually like it...Anyone else feel like this or is it just me?
P.S. On a side note, I'd like to say Tray Deee's album, "The Generals List", is a pretty good album as well...I'd prefer a full LP of him, but it had some pretty ill songs on there...3.75/5...PeACe

Its not spectacular but a good album,i dont like the east coast featurings...
-
i like it alot so i totally agree. I also gave it a shot. My favourite jams are fallen star, dogghouse america and raised on the side
-
I've been bumping it too... I wasn't keen on it at first but its grown on me a lot. I love 'Doin It Bigg' with RBX and E-White .. 'I keep a gun in the ceiling... I call it my Hi-Tek'
-
I havn't really given it a good listen but the ONLY Snoop album I've really like was "Doggystyle".. I doubt I'll like this one.
-
Yeah "Welcome To The House" is a great album in my opinion. I've been listening to it consistently since I bought it 3 months ago. Too many dope songs to name...
peace

this album sucks totally
Like the majority of the album in your posts ;D
-
I wasn't excited. It ok though
-
seriously... i suggest you throw this album on for a few hours while you're kicking back or whatever.. its worth giving a second look.
-
i tried over and over to try to get into this...and it sucks...terrible producion and average rhymes...theres is not one really good song on it, and the rest are unbearable...huge disappointment
-
2 or 3 good shit on it, that's all ! the song 4 or 5 by Latoya really sucks !
-
It's a solid album, but nothing special. I don't know why they don't use that typical west coast sound anymore. I think that they don't use, because it won't sell. That's mad, when it's only because of the money. There are only a few tracks on the album, with the real original west coast sound. So, it could have been way better.

Yeah. The only thing is that.. Snoop is keep making those pimp tracks! That's not what i want from him. And he's still making tracks with East Coast producers/rappers. The album aint that bad (and it's far from being a classic. And it sold less veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery bad). But i dont understand.. what the fuck is Snoop doing those days. He made a "commercial" album to sell well, but he sold terrible. He def needs to choose if he wanna be a pimp or a G. I go for G. And he really needs to make a G album. Hardcore. This pimp shit aint fresh no more.

Man this album sold VEEEEEEEERY bad. So if they did it to sell more, they did a mistake!

-
Yeah I feel ya NIK... I gave the album a shot a while back and I was impressed... it takes a few listens but after that it's pretty dope... my favourite tracks are "raised on the side", "Hey You" and "Doin it Bigg"...
Peace
-
yeah I really like this album, with the exception of the latoya solo cuts. There are some very definite bangers.
-
Nothin great..."Hey You" is the best cut on the album.
-
i bought this cd and i was expecting a dope album with many hot tracks (i never listened to the full rip before i bought it). the day i got it in my hands i quickly gave it a close listen (every track)...but after the first full listen i throwed this cd outta my player and never listened to it again...i was like "fuck, why you always buying snoop records since he doesnt come with anything dope since doggystyle ?!?"
now i got this compilation in my hands again and i think i will try it again, but i dont think i will change my opinion...its a very bad album.

i thought this cd was pretty good. i had to listen to it a couple of times before i started to like it though. but its like every other cd that snoop releases you know the cd should always be a little bit better.
