Strong Arm Steady has been on their grizzly as usual, knocking out songs for various projects. They recently dropped the first song off their "Stoney Jackson" collabo project with Madlib called "Money Right" featuring Defari.

Today we got another drop from the Steady Gang, this time from their longawaited "Arms & Hammers" album. This here is an updated version of their song "Trunk Music", which Dubcnn brought you a while ago. They got The Game to lay a verse over the Mars (of 1500 or Nothin') produced beat.

Hit the link below to get a bar of "Trunk Music" featuring The Game:

Strong Arm Steady - Trunk Music Feat. The Game

If you're in the LA area make sure you check out Strong Arm Steady live on stage with Talib Kweli at the Key Club tomorrow night.

more of the same from game about his current career situation - complaining about the lack of a relationship with dr.dre while name dropping other artists and bigging up himself.

at least it's not that cliche gangsta shit he did on LAX

the song was recorded before LAX came out

and you complain a whole lot everytime i see you mentioning Game u always got some negative shit to say..when you say cliche gangsta shit...gangsta shit is what he started with so why would he not rap about that?

how u gon tell a gangsta rapper not to rap about gangsta shit? or do u want him to cater to what u want?

i understand that u have an opinion but ure goin overboard imo 1 minute u say that u aint a fan next second u r, which is it?

if u dont like dude just dont listen

1.  I don't give a damn when it's recorded.

2.  LAX had really cliche gangsta shit.  LAX Files = garbage, cliche gangsta rap.  "i'm so hood in this car without a roof and khakis...look at this gun in my house while i name drop some asshole. .. blah blah balh"

3.  I always peep game's music.  I enjoy boy documentary, doctor's advocate, and various tracks off lax.

Just because I enjoy something or consider myself a fan doesn't mean I have blind love for the nigga.  Get off his dick.  I'm allowed to provide opinino.  I also recognize the truth when isee  it.  I give props when due for example: game is easily the top 3 vocalists of our generation.  horrible lyricists.  needs a ghostwriter.   goood ear for beats too but if you lack substance then i don't care.

I like what I like which means if my ears like it they like it.  I didn't like this.   Game should stay true to himself but everyoen and tehir mammas knows he's not a gangsta, enver was and never will be.  it's all fake ass image he puts on.

the real game is the game on tracks like,

bang along

or his guest verse on that tyrese tracks ghettos dayz,

Quote
Truth is I ran way when I was 5 years old
Ran til my And 1's had holes in the soles
I had 3 silk shirts, 2 pairs of jebose
Spent the night at boo's house, we was sharin his clothes
Moms left me out in the cold
Worst that that my man took 5 shots and aint lose his soul
I was livin w/ a blind man's vision
And no matter how hard I tried, I could never see prison
And to all my dead homies, we don't pour rout liquor
We just poke our chests out, and say we miss ya niggas
We was scared of gang bangers, walked to school in groups
Argued who was the best MC, Ice Cube or Snoop
Damn, I miss my ghetto dayz
Whether it was Coca Cola or straight coke
We found a way
Hey and the memories of EZ and Pac
California we all we got

Additionally, I don't mind fictional story telling if it's done well.  Perfect example is the recent rick ross album or raekwon album.  But lax itself was a major pile of shit aside from a couple of tracks.  hopefully his next album will be dope.

u said that "its not cliche shit like on lax" which is why i said that it was recorded during the lax time

so now im on his dick? wow okay

im not sayin that u have to dickride but every single time i see you post anything about him its always some complaint or something negative is what i said

the thread could be about bishop lamonts music and all of a sudden there you are talking about how game really aint that good but he got good vocals and shit like that

im sayin chill out it aint that serious..he's just a rapper and this is just music, dont like it? state your opinion and keep it movin, if u like it same thing

did u buy lax? if u didnt then whats the point of u complaining?

and u make urself look dumb by sayin cliche gangsta rap, i almost feel sorry for u. Game is a gangster rapper so dont expect him to rap about the sun and the moon..if u dont like it keep it movin and listen to someone who does..

Great verse from Game, I like him the best when he's using his own voice and not jacking others people flow/voice.

its dropping next year, but they got the stoney jackson record with madlib dropping first. i've had the chance to hear both albums and they're sick sick sick. stoney jackson has that mellow madlib production and the arms & hammers is just some cold rhymes over a wide range of different beats, they even got a couple club tracks on there. plus this one song with r kelly which is incredible but its not gonna make the record.

Is it entirely possible for an artist to record two songs during a recording sessions for an album?
Answer: Yes.

Is it possible that one is original and the other cliche?
Answer: Yes.

My og comment stands, I don't care when he recorded it.  LAX, the album, still has a lot of cliche gangsta shit.   Game wants to be a gansta rapper, he started off as a decent one and then he got exposed - which really doesn't matter if he didn't try to act so damn hard.  He's the west coast version of rick ross, only slightly more credible.   Every now and then he'll drop a dope gangsta track but then he'll drop a shitty cliche track.

What does Bishop Lamont have to do with this?
You're being they hypocrite bringing up random shit.  And, if I speak on Game in another thread it's usually due to the fact some hater comes in there and disses Bishop Lamont while bigging up Game.

Did I bring up Bishop Lamont in this thread?
Answer: No.

Additionally,  I haven't commented on Game in a minute.  Hell I've barely been in the west coast connection forum because there's no real news about west coast artists.  Hell there's barely a dope west coast music scene.

Again, you can call me a hater.  I like what I like.  Just because you like an artist does not mean that artist doesn't have flaws.  Hell, it doesn't even mean you like a good artist.
