kid is slept on
it seems like he's back fucking with the math ... there's supposed to be big news coming concerning his album
-
I really dont see him going back to aftermath they fucked him over royally. He would have been a platinum artist had they dropped his album when shady was popping.
I was wondering what was going on with his album it was supposed to have dropped by now.

I dont think its a case of him suddenly getting better, but I think on interscope he was being pushed into being just another southern party and club type rapper.

I actually agree with u 100%, didn't mean to make it come off as otherwise. I wish his CD dropped. Had dope ass guest and prod. lineup. Scarface :o

yeah its funny the whole time he was on aftermath I was like what do they see in this guy?I had no interest in him at all really. Then Re-up dropped and by my side I was like damn this guy can spit but I still wasnt convinced. Then he gets dropped and he starts dropping hot tape after hot tape. And not only good music, but music with purpose. He talks about subjects that actually matter. My perception of him changed drastically.Problem is a lot of people still only know him from like dat and brush him off as nothing.

Stat is a classic example of how record labels restrict ability and force people to become something they aren't. For all we know Jeezy and Gucci Mane could be lyrically amazing. On second thoughts, nah.
-
Stat Quo got some dope songs, "The Came Up" had one one of the illest beats i've ever heard, and Stat, Obie Trice and 50 Cent was all tight on it. What was that track Stat Quo did with The Game back before "The Documentary" wasn't out and he wasn't even signed to G-Unit, that shit was bangin' like a muthafucka.

Well, while Aftermath may have fucked him over he clearly isn't holding grudges as he's working with Dr.Dre as a writer for Detox right now in Cali. They flew him back out for a second time for an unknown amount of time - i.e when they no longer desire his services.
You can peep various messages via his twitter:

Daamn, I remember first hearing Stat Quo in Gr. 11 from that "Future" freestyle with Dre. I was like wow this is sick, this the next Dr. Dre protege! Too bad it didnt work out. Maybe he'll be on Detox tho.
-
I'm convinced after listening to relapse drugs and the death of proof was the downfall of shady records. if that didn't happen we'd have a stat quo album among others
-
I don't even like Stat but dude needs to stay away from Aftermath, they already slowed his career down enough.

But we dont know what hes getting in return for working with Dre. he could be getting paid for writing or free Dre beats which he can actually use. But true he should be weary of any deal that they may offer him.
-
Dude is cool but nothing special and also i can't see him being a top selling artist as they probably want him to be from the Interscope headquarters. Anyway, I'd be mad if they would release Statlanta instead of Reformation. ???
But what I find very interesting about him is that after all those interviews he did last year when he was talking shit about Dre and how he never releases the music he makes and shit, now he is back working on Detox. Very weird considering the fact that Dre rarely works again with cats talking bshit about him. Dubc gotta interview him again as they did last year. This would be very interesting because he was supposed to be dropped COMPLETELY from Shady/Aftermath and now he's "in Hawaii detoxin". Damn this label is surrounded by fuckin weirdness.

Stat didn't talk shit about anyone. He spoke the truth about his situation and he respectfully vented in his songs because they did him dirty while he was on the label.
