Yawn at Hacks petty attempts to get under my skin.  The worst ran... not quite.  The Islanders, Raiders, and Pirates hold that distinction.  One of the worst would of been more appropriate.  And dumbest on earth lol... My baseball knowledge >>>> the ESPN talking points you recite.

Hey Cham remember before the season I told you the Mets weren't going to re-up with Pedro ?  I also said whoever signed would be pleasantly surprised.  But you were 100 % adamant they were and Pedro would flame out ?  Will you start to believe me now when I say I know more about my team than the ESPN talking points ?

Tom actually knows about baseball

Thank you, and you'll be proud of me I'm starting to divulge deeper into sabermetrics

what books u got?

books that will give him knowledge to brag about on a online forum to give himself more self confidence when he logs off this website to go to another one to brag more about the same shit.

waste countless hours to become a connoisseur of something that will never earn him a paycheck once, but self confidence is key.

Hack don't worry, nothing you say will lead to a meaningful conversation, you're just a Yankee fan in his eyes; notice how he constantly has a problem with you & me, but the rest of NL West (mostly) fans are good in his book, surprise, surprise. ::)

those books, Hack. ;) ;D

btw, i said 20 starts, which was a admitted mistake; LOL at 50.

Damn, I didn't know reading about something you love is a waste of time.  Fuck it dogg, let's just burn every book out there in the world unless it's related to your job or career. I'm cool with Tom because unlike other people, he can actually back up his claims.  And I've backed up mine, and we've had healthy discussions about baseball. I'm sure if I was a Yankee fan, it would be the same shit.  Why?  Because I've had good discussions here with SF Giants fans.

people read some books for entertainment, some read books by demand of teacher, some read textbooks & books for knowledge, some read books for a better understanding of something job related.

about .02% of the world reads a book to feel a step above others on a message board & to hold "good discussions" online lol.

.02 is an estimate, but i guess you're right, i can't back up that claim. :-X

anyway, you're wrong. if you were a Yankees fan you would be in my shoes regardless of what you say.

the moment i said "LET'S GO YANKEES" i was a called a "cocksucking, arrogant, faggot Yankee fan" lol.

You're assuming that Tom reads it for online purposes only.  People read things because they love it.  I have an interest in politics, so I read books about politics.  Right now I wouldn't be in your shoes, because I'm not the cheerleading type of fan that types in caps to express how I feel about my team.  And there is nothing wrong with being that way, but that's just not my style.  RAH RAH is just not my style.

Cham actually I respect Yankee fans opinions go check my me on SOHH my scream name is Tommy Fits.  I've talked baseball with Yankee fans with no problem because they know their shit.  My girl is a diehard Yanks fan from the Bronx as well but she actually knows her shit unlike you.  I won't front Hack knows his shit but he lets his yank fan sense of self entitlement get in the way.  And then he'll talk about the Mets like he knows whats going on and when I try and correct him and have a convo with him he has no response back.  Hell me and Hack used to talk basbell all the time until he became the typical we got 26 rings Yankee fan.  And I have disagreed with wykid before you fucking moron.  Go check my preseason prediction when I said the Dodgers weren't as good as advertised but would make the playoffs and catch fire only to lose to the Sox in the post season.  And go check how he caught feelings you fucking moron.  And wtf is wrong reading you brain dead jerk off ?  I love to fucking read and just so you know I am currently reading the book Catcher by Peter Morris.  It's about the evolution of the catchers position in the late 1800's and early 1900's.  I love reading books about baseball and whats wrong with you fucking moron ? I love Baseball history and love reading about it.  I've even read books about Babe Ruth who was GASP A YANKEE  :o I also enjoy reading books on politics.  Let me guess I will never be a politician so I shouldn't read that either ?  I've read a couple of books by  chuck palahniuk, but I am never going to start my own fight club so I guess thats a waste of time.  Where in the QU you at so I can smack you upside the fucking head with a book on baseball, I'll let you choose which one.

i can't open a thread though & listen to you say a man like Harold Reynolds, who played in the league & got paid millions to be an analyst has no clue what he's talking about.

Where in Queens you at so I can smack you upside your head ?  Actually very few of the books I have read I have rarely mentioned.  But I read so I can front on a message board.  When I have said I read books so I know the game of baseball ?  That was one of your assumptions.  And just because someone played pro ball doesn't mean they know what they are talking about.  In 2004 Raffy Palmeiro won a gold glove at 1st base even though he only played 14 games at first that season.  Do you know who votes for the gold glover winners ?  Fellow players.  Just goes to show you a lot of players really don't know whats going on.  Jeff Francouer said OBP isn't important because they don't show it on the score board.  Yet OBP is one of the most essential elements in evaluating a player.  And he plays baseball lol.  I really did a couple weeks ago try and come at you with respect and talk to you about the Mets but you still on some bull shit.

I mentioned Frency and the Palmerio gold glove story b/c it shows just b/c you're a player doesn't mean you know the game of baseball.  You ever notice in sports the worst athletes end up becoming managers while the best are horrible talent evaluators more times than not >

Well I personally never cared for Reynolds myself.  But John Kruk is a paid analyst and no one respects what he has to say.  Early this season he said in cold weather he would try and make solid contact so his hands wouldn't hurt as much.  He gets paid to discuss baseball and thats what he has to say.  Steve Phillips does the Sunday night game of the week and the fans that like him or respect his opinion are far and few between.  And he was a GM but can't find a job with any team in baseball.  He doesn't stay at ESPN because he doesn't want a job back in the bigs.  Joe Morgan also does the Sunday night game of a week and a web site was created just to get him fired, firejoemorgan.com.  No one respects a word he has to say and hes a hall of famer.
