I am really enjoying this Kid Cudi album. It isn't lyrical, but damn it's a good album - very solid conceptually and beat wise. Kid Cudi did his thing on the album. What's your guys favorite song from the album? I am really feeling My World, Hyyer, and Solo Dolo.

Yep im loving this album as well, like you said it isn't the most lyrical album nor does it have an obvious standout track imo but it flows like a proper album should, it's not one of these thrown together albums you get nowadays with the same features and producers, so it's a nice change 8) Fav track is either 'Soundtrack To My Life' or 'CuDi Zone'

Amazing album if you ask me. Not a great mc or anything but he can damn sure put together a song and most importantly a cohesive album. He also has a very catchy style, mixing rapping and singing and not sounding corny, plus he gets introspective on several songs so it's not like it's bunch of sing along songs with no substance. Very unique choice of production too, kinda space-ish. I read an interview of his where he said he plans to release 2 more album following the concept of this one.
"I got 99 problems and they all bitches"

Lol, so it ended up growing on you?
I wasn't feeling it, like about 4 songs, only kept 1.

It did. I didn't get to enjoy it for a while, but now that I listen - it's damn decent.

Nice. I'm sure I will re-listen to it in 6 months or something and like it more.

Why is this guy so depressed. Every damn song he's talking about he's not happy and other lame shit. I'll give it another listen

lol... ^^^^ I don't know what to say about that comment..
You may be a little bit confused about real music, and why it's made..

Soundtrack 2 My Life helps explain why he creates music,
I got some issues that nobody can see
and all these emotions are pouring out of me
I bring them to the light for you, It's only right
This is the soundtrack to my life
From the second verse,
I try to think about myself as a sacrifice
so they kids know they ain't the only one up at night
So, yes, the album does involve his more personal experiences that bring him down but it also touches on what makes him happy. Basically the second half of the album invokes a more positive feeling, starting from track 9 onward. It's how he communicates.
I love the album. I think it's the best hip-hop related album released this year. It's authentic, fresh, honest, emotional, passionate, diverse, simple but complex. It reaches to be more and doesn't settle at being average. It's respectable.
Tell me what you know about dreaming, dreaming.
You don't really know about nothing, nothing.
Tell me what you know about night terrors every night
5 A.M, cold sweats. waking up to the sky.
Tell me what you know about dreams, dreams.
Tell me what you know about night terrors - nothing.
You don't really care about the trials of tomorrow.
Rather lay awake in a bed full of sorrow.
I love this album. I'm copping it tomorrow along with Drake's ep.
