I ordered on CDUniverse.com what was listed as "Dr Dre - The Chronic Re-lit & from Tha Vault" and what i actually received was The 2002 remastered re-release of it... I had a feeling this would happen before I ordered it due to it having no artwork listed I knew some douche bag would get it mixed up.. I already own 2 copies of the 2002 re-release, so to get a 3rd I was disapointed. Anyone else had this problem from CDUniverse???

I'm not buying another copy of Re-lit, but thanks for the heads up on where they're cheap at in the UK. I've sent an e-mail to the customer service. I'll be expecting a speedier delivery service for the delayed time that I'll actually receive my order now, and to keep the Chronic I did receive for the mix up and mistake (no way I'm spending my own money to return an item, and to correct 'their' mistake)

I was, but not as p!ssed as I should have been, because I had a feeling this would happen... But I'll show you why anyone could have bought the same as I did.
There were around 4 Chronics, and one didn't have artwork and said OUT OF STOCK "Imported from Canada", and I seen the other 2, and they just said "Dr Dre - The Chronic (Bonus DVD)" but knew these would be the dual discs/2002 remasters with Dre Day video, so I then went ahead and purchased one which said "Dr Dre - The Chronic: RE-lit & From Tha Vault" because... Hmmmm it said RELIT & FROM THA VAULT lol!!!!
BUT, when I clicked onto the item on the website it did have the original Chronic artwork, but this is natural for re-releases, especially for online retailers, because they didn't have the "new" artwork anywhere on the site on any of the Chronics, so I as anyone would - thought that they had just used the original artwork as a placeholder until they got the new artwork, because afterall it was titled as "Re-lit....... etc." but then I thought to myself.. I bet some idiot who works there has just renamed it that because it's the "latest" name for this release, and that it could possibly be the original Chronic, but I thought what the hay, it's in stock, lets order it, rather than wait weeks on the other "identically" listed item to be in stock because it's cheaper, and plus being from the UK, I'll be waiting months to get my copy lol
Moral of the story is...

Will you demand for your money or at least the right CD? Because you should, they have to send you the correct product, they are using WideAwake's designation for this article, which is not allowed if it is not the correct CD in this case. If this was a regular re-release of this album, they could say they mixed it up. But the Re-Lit is a "new" CD, with new material etc. so they are not allowed to advertise an old product with a new name.

They asked for the UPC number under the barcode and said they'd look into it. I've asked for the correct CD though and stated my disappointment in the obvious plus for the fact that I'll have to wait even longer for the correct replacement hinting a speedier delivery method for the mistake on their part....
If you look on CDuniverse.com now you'll notice EVERY chronic is listed as "Re-Lit & From Tha Vault" now :-X

I'm from the UK, and we don't have a bestbuy here, but there is a bestbuy.co.uk being set up, but is not active yet. It would save a lot of hassle

They better change the name of the other Chronic releases because they can get major trouble if WideAwake will ever be aware of this.

I order from cduniverse all the time and I've had wrong items sent a couple of times but they are normally real cool about it and send you the right copy and let you keep wrong copy ;)

They are good with refunds they usually just resent the one you wanted and don't bill you for the one you got. They did this with me a couple times. They sent me "pimp-c sweet james jones" screwed instead of the normal. My last order they sent me edited version of "Lethaface underground legend". That one was a pakaging issue.

So really what you're saying is they send it free? Because they have already 'billed' me for the wrong item. Money was handed over via PayPal over a month ago now. If I get to keep the other Chronic that will be cool. In the end I'll have 5 copies of the album :-\ I sure as hell pray they never re-issue this album ever again

They're gonna send the wrong fukkin CD.... AGAIN!!! It hasn't shipped, but I've sent them another e-mail explaining in simple terms the situation with this release, and what the genuine one is - what the cover looks like - the bonuses etc. If they fk it up again I'll have 2 remastered Chronics, plus awaiting a Re-lit..
People start ordering the chronic from the website and do the same, it's 2-3 for the price of 1 over there at the moment ;D
