Props man, although I'm not that into post Lethal Injection Cube, I can't disagree that both Vol.1 and Vol.2 are solid fucking albums!I also loved the fact that Bud'da did a lot of work on vol.1.
-
This thread should be just for the War cd, also in the westcoast section ;)
-
Huh Vol. 2 Peace is solid whatchu talkin bout sir?
-

I always thought the War disk was alot better than the Peace disk
-
Ghetto Vet off the War Cd is classic material
-
Both albums are tight, i always liked the second one more though.

Cube is my fav rapper of all time but the Peace disc was his worst showing hands down in my opinion. I loved War though it was one of my favourites, real dark and the beats were banging.
Peace lyrically wasn't bad but everytime I listen to it I think these beats aren't Ice Cube. There were some notables...Record Company Pimpin, Until We Rich, You Can Do It but i didn't like much else.
On War I'd say I liked every song.
-
i like both
-
war disc is in my top 10 albums, production is crazy and the way its put together as a album is fantastic, it all pieces together.
got tha real dark sound to it aswell, which is always a plus. great music

co sign. Very thematic feel from track to track. I always said I wish Cube would have stuck to the original concept of the albums and dropped them the same year and originally the Peace disc was going to have more social commentary on it. As opposed to the War disc which was just dark theme wise. Peace disc is cool though, had good beats as well, but War is one of the coldest produced albums I have heard in a looooong time.

Its differant for me I never really got that into the War album, but the Peace album is another story. It mite not have been lyrical or anything but the beats were on point and the album flowed good. you had Hello, 24 Mo Hours (prod by Battlecat), Until We Rich, Roll All Day, Record Company Pimpin & Nigga of the Century, IMO strong songs. I got this shit the day it came out and bumped it that whole summer of 2000. I mite call Peace disc a personal classic, even with that aside though its a good album
seein all the good comments on the War disc im gunna dust the War disc off, blaze a blunt and see if i can dig what you guys are sayin.
id suggest doing the same thing on the Peace disc if you never felt it.
