Well, today marks the 1st death anniversary of one of hip-hop's greatest producers - Johnny 'J'. Most of the fans recognize him as being the multi-platinum producer who was perhaps best known for his classic production on 2Pac's albums like All Eyez On Me, Me Against The World, Until The End Of Time and Better Dayz. Johnny 'J' produced more than 150 songs for 2Pac, including some of his biggest hits such as "Pour Out A Little Liquor", "All About U", "How Do U Want It", "Life Goes On", "Hit 'Em Up" and "Made Niggaz" among others. He also worked with fellow Thug Life and Outlawz members, former Death Row inmates like Snoop Dogg, Mc Hammer, Danny Boy, O.F.T.B., and other rappers and r'n'b' singers such as CJ Mac, Bizzy Bone, Mel-Low, Craig Mack, Nate Dogg, KCi & Jojo, Jon B, Tyrese and Val Young. Johnny 'J' was also always helping the up and coming artists as he produced tracks for Lil' Eazy, Imaan Faith, Won-G, T-Jay, Stepachyld and others. He sold over 100 million records over his 21-year music career that began with the "Knockin' Boots" record from the rapper Candyman that was his first major hit.
Johnny 'J' was one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time and his music will live forever. Now it's up for the fans and the music industry to recognize his talent and put him in the same legendary status with Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre, DJ Quik and other greats..
To celebrate this anniversary I gave you this tribute album you can bump today. It was put down by me, the homie Bad-N-Fluenz who designed another great cover for all of us and people from KLOCK WORK Entertainment including Johnny J's wife - Capucine Jackson, who now runs his label. She gave me her personal blessing for this project and she also drop a little message for the fans that is featured on the cover so I wanted to thank her from here for doing this.
Thank you Mrs. Jackson :)
Please, download this tribute album and bump it today in the memory of Johnny 'J' and than spread it thru the internet to create a buzz for Klock Work Entertainment, cause the def got a few hot projects coming out and they need our support!

R.I.P. Johnny 'J'...
excellent work all around, R.I.P. JJ.................
-
Lol at executive producer. Seriously? I also like that your credit/tags are bigger than the names of the songs. Hey YOURE FAMOUS NOW!
-
I can remember buying the Won G albums years ago when he was coming out and having the privilege of speaking with him. I ignorantly didn't know he had soaked up some East Coast influence in his music, and how much of a pleasure it was to work with Johnny J. He also has to my knowledge an unreleased track with Outlawz
-
RiP Johnny "J"
nice compilation but his most succesful song is missing! (how do u want it)

with dvd of all the studiosessions with bizzy??
-
08. Don't Sleep (Mark Wahlberg)
Lol what's this track?
-
Who's "Won-G"?
-
Couple of things:
1) The whole project was put out to celebrate J's death anniversary, not for some net fame. The credits are big so the people could not steal this tape and claim it's theirs on some other websites which happened last time..
2) I've decided to put out songs with other artists than 'Pac cause everybody already know those classic cuts. I wanted to focus on tracks with other rappers, that some of folks not know about..
3) Won-G is a haitian rapper that released a couple albums. He got tracks with Outlawz etc.
4) Don't Sleep is a track that was featured on The Big Hit Soundtrack from 1998.
5) Klock Work Entertainment got some hot projects coming out - I'm going to drop a complete info about them in the next couple of days..
-
damn, 1yr already?
hes truly one of the greatest producers, and most solid ones too...
over almost 20yrs he didnt have to reinvent his sound, since he didnt copy whats hot in the radio.. he just did his sound. thats outstanding nowadays.
-
Thanks man, seems like a nice compilation!
