Jets-Saints a potential Super Bowl preview

ESPN's Adam Schefter answers readers' questions nearly every day in his blog. Have a query of your own? Submit it right here.
Q: Jets-Saints this Sunday. Are we looking at a potential Super Bowl matchup? I didn't think Mark Sanchez had what it takes to make a playoff run, but with that defense, anything is possible.
-- Clark (Bethpage, N.Y.)
A: Clark: How far did the Ravens go last season with a rookie quarterback and Rex Ryan as their defensive coordinator? All the way to the AFC Championship Game. So I'm not putting any limits on these Jets. To me, they have a chance to have a great season. Young quarterbacks have proved they don't have to wait years to have success in the postseason. Look at Ben Roethlisberger -- he was drafted in 2004 and already has won two Super Bowls. If the Jets keep playing the way they have, they could find themselves in a Super Bowl rematch with the Saints. Not likely, but certainly possible.

apparently Adam has forgot that the GIANTS play in the NFC

i don't know.
the Jets D is good, but can it out defend & then outscore a team like the Colts?
maybe.
Saints can take the NFC though.
-
Mark my words. The Jets will lose against the Pats the second time around.

Saints can beat the Giants in New Orleans in the playoffs. I don't see much of a chance for them in New York. As for the AFC; I'm not sure if the Jets can beat the Ravens or the Pats in January. And by lookign at their schedule this year the Colts might have home field through the playoffs and I'm not sure if the Jets can beat Indy in the dome.

i suppose, but if Sanchez progresses & forms a great relationship on the field with Edwards & the defense stays strong, no reason why we can't win our divison for the next few seasons. 8)
