Soft White moved 3,824  units first week.

I'm honestly not surprised, unfortunately this is about what I thought he would sell, but at the same time I was thinking maybe Mack could pull in some decent numbers... I was hoping he would do at least 10K
how much did Warren G sell?

I read somewhere that on Amazon he did like 30K in pre-orders before the album dropped... not sure if that counts though on Soundscan
-
he needs to hook back up with Ice Cube and quick
-
shit flopped hard
-
I did not see Warren G on the Billboard Top 200 so I would assume it sold even less than what Mack 10 did.

Huh? What does that matter?
-
Biggest mistake he ever made was diss cube. He had a free ride, making scraps. WC never bitches and jus picks up the leftovers...that's how the rap game works. The minute the secondaries cmplain and try to get the limelight it goes downhill.

It doesn't. I was just saying that because people asked before me how much Warren G sold.

When did Mack ever diss Cube?

He needs to hook back up with WSC

The numbers with Mack do not surprise me that much. Multiple release date changes= flop along with little to no promotion.
-
^Yep
As for Warren, looks like TTL REALLY dropped the ball.

And especially for vets like these, I don't know why more and more artists that go indie do not hire and A&R or street team to help with promo. That is a big aspect of marketing that a artist loses in most cases when they go indie.
-
How can you expect Warren G's album to sell when theres NO VIDEO, NO RADIO PLAY and hardly any stores stocked the album? At least Mack 10 had two videos playing on TV. TTL Records are garbage.
-
what's the definition of flopping these days anyway?
not sure lol, but this would probably sum it up though.
-
It's a shame because if you do a google search for 'warren g the g files' you can download the album totally free cos it got bootlegged so hard.

if I say 3000 copies in 2009,equal something like 90.000 copies in 1999. (wild guess)
What then?
Then I would say no. But just looking at the amout of promotion, delays, etc that occured with both these albums, that don't look too good. Nevertheless I picked both up and enjoyed them.
-
Wouldnt say mack 10 was a legand but i agree he needs to call it a day.
-
i went to best buy today and saw mack 10 everywhere and didnt see one warren g i was upset
people here like warren g so they prolly bought the copies and havent restocked yet
-
Wallmart here had a gang of mack 10 but no G Files at all

Who gives a crap about Warren G and Mack 10 in 2009? No one.
-
neither mack 10 or warren g have an audience
no west coast fan would be happy with soft white and no cash money fan would give a crap about mack 10 either
warren g on the other hands trying to be a ringtone rapper.
these guys are a bunch of all ass men from the west trying to hop on the the new trends.

real shit
-
The album was trash, and it had no promotion. If G Malone had a brain, he would cut his loses now, cos he won't do any better than Mack 10. Mack 10 needs to hook back up with WSC, then he would move units.
-
Well it was a shitty album. He needed something to get it off the ground. There was no good single to make you want to buy it. Then to find out all the songs suck ass didn't help it.
