i gotta admit the title of this thread made me chuckle
was a class side...admittedly i think the squad over the last two years prior to this season is as good though if not better
but i still hate the cunts with a passion

Schmeichel, Neville, Bruce, Pally, Irwin, Beckham, Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Cantona, Solsjkaer....
Would that team ever have played together?...

What about Yorke and Cole ? Classic stuff, back then I was a Man U fan, now I can't stand them.

Beckham broke through for real in 95, Bruce left in 96, Pallister in 98.

The team is filled with annoying players: Anderson, Rooney, Berbatov, that Korean dude, Carrick, Fletcher, Nani, O'Shea, Neville. Vidič... I only like Gigs, Scholes and that new dude Valencia.

I was dissapointed that the great Karel Poborsky played, like, only one season... oh well, there has been loads of great players....
-
haha i grew up watchin some of them...damn cantona was one of the best if not the best IMO in his time for real
but that era was a dynasty team for real

I remember him scoring a great goal away to Leeds.
Andy mitton has just released a book called glory, glory man united in the 90's where he has interviewed players from the era.

Glory Glory! is the story of one of the greatest eras in the history of England s greatest club through the eyes of the players who made it happen. Not just the big wins, the cup finals and the trophy parades, but the half-time rows, the mad pranks, the boozy nights out and the training ground bust-ups.
Andy Mitten has tracked down ten of the stars from that team - including Eric Cantona, Andrew Cole, Lee Sharpe, and Nicky Butt as well as controversial chairman Martin Edwards - to open the door to both the dressing room and boardroom at Old Trafford as the club emerged as the dominant force in English football.
Glory Glory! is an astonishingly candid and revealing insight into a club that was winning its first league title in 26 years, the Double and that historic Treble. More than that, it as lively and entertaining sports book as you'll ever read.
