Every west coast hip-hop head knows (or should know of) The Pharcyde. They've produced classics and were an essential part of hip-hop in the 90's, with their alternative style of west coast rap. So why is it that the groups strongest MC was slept on when his solo effort was finally released, after YEARS of anticipation? "The Loneliest Punk" was a great album, front to back, yet it's rarely ever mentioned...even Pharcyde fans slept on this effort. Fatlip needs some more appreciation from the west coast heads, cuz while other cats were out tryna do whatever they can to gain commercial success, he stuck to the formula, made real music, and produced a banger that never got the attention it deserved. Fatlip has been WAY too slept on for someone of his stature, so if you haven't heard it by now, make it a point to do so 8)...PeACe

My thread on "Space Boogie" got 10 times the attention this thread did...but Kurupt's "Space Boogie" is not 10 times better than Fatlip's "The Lonliest Punk"...in fact, theyre on the same level. Cali, wake up. Who here can even say they've checked this album out?

Pharcyde is the shit. Fatlip's album was an alright album for me. Overall it has some good tracks on there. I enjoyed Tre Hardson's album Liberation, good chill album. His second album Slimkidtre's Cafe was okay. Watching Pharcyde live.............. ;D the fuckin shit! Lots of energy!

yeah i got fat lips album definately a good album. Didnt really like slim kid tres albums. I liek and own all teh pharcyde albums, they all dope, even though theres one less member on each album.
