this for anyone who thinks the Magic lost someone to take big shots since Hedo left

AMAZING :o

Yeah Carter has always been one of my favorite players, it's too bad that he even admitted that he hasn't always tried as hard as he should, cause he could have achieved so much more at this point in his career, hope he does well on the Magic tho.
-
Vince has always been the man, great player. He should of been an all star last year no doubt.
-
VC is a better player than Turkoglu ... he's still of one the few SG who can create his shot at will ... we will see how he does in the Magic system but I'm not sure why everybody and their mom claim that Turkoglu being replaced by Vince is a huge loss ... Carter is a much more better 1 on 1 player than Hedo is , he can create for his teammates aswell ( the whole Magic lost their point forward argument ) and can be 10 times the defender Hedo will ever be when he wants ....
Yes, he has been lazy and unmotivated at times but he was such on garbage teams , it can be understandable...
This is the 1st time in his carreer he will be part of a contender so lets see how he performs
-
Of course, but he's old now. He's gonna be 33 come playoff time, that's pretty fucking old for a SG who relies on athleticism and has had trouble with injuries.

Dude doesnt rely on his athleticism that much anymore....Vince is one of the best shooters in the L imo, dude could play till hes 40 with a jumper that good. The guy can knock down shots from anywhere on the floor and has the best fadeaway in the L, no doubt.

Turk > VC (today) no question.

Vince had Devin Harris, a PG, that's about it, not to mention a losing team; he's getting the ball.
Hedo was on a Finals team whose objective game in, game out was to get the ball to Dwight & when Dwight couldn't get his shot & felt the double team, kick it out to the open man for 3; whoever it may be, he wasn't nessesarily looking for Hedo.
Hedo is the better outside shooter & i prefer his midrange game; but Vince is a better "driver"; but on a team with Dwight, i don't see the need for him.
-
well Vince has better field goal % and better 3 Point percentage so I wouldnt say Hedo is a better shooter....Not trying to take anything away from Hedo, I just feel Vince is a better overall player
-
I think people overlook VC shooting ability based on the fact the dude is prolly the best dunker of all time....VC is deadly from outside tho
-
I hate when ppl bust out stats to compare ppl. In my mind stats can be very misleading on how they run the team and when they do with out the ball in their hands. Im not saying Carter isnt better then Turk but I just wouldnt claim it off just stats.
and if u really wanted to just do stats, you forgot to add carter averages 1 more turnover pergame

VC is the better overall player, but Turk is the better fit for Orlando.
his style of play was a great fit there.
Vince is great at creating his own shot, but in Orlando they want you to catch & shoot off of Dwight's pass or when they swing it around the key.
but i guess Vince will be good for them when they give Dwight a rest; he's the type of player who can keep the team tight even with it's best player off the floor.
-
Comparing stats rarely ever tells the whole story of who's better...it all depends on your team, system, etc. But regardless, I think Carter is the better player.
-
Don't underestimate VC ............or overestimate him for that matter.
Dude is MAD TALENTED, can still fly, is a nice passer, can play d when he wants, and has a very good outside shot. Plus, he has time and time again hit clutch shots (although, lets be honest, its not like he's done it deep in the playoffs).
Vince COULD be a great addition for the Magic and be much better then Turkoglu, or he could be a disaster. Its really up to him.
Yes, he's 33, but he doesn't exactly have hard miles on him. He hasn't played many extra games (playoffs, summers, etc) and other times he has taken almost whole seasons off!- his last one with the Raptors comes to mind. Age won't be a factor, he is a young 33 in a lot of ways, and I suspect he will kill it in Orlando.

and has the best fadeaway in the L, no doubt.
you're a dumbass, no doubt

^ Damn I wouldn't go that far lol
Vince has been tearing it up in pre-season though, 5-5 from 3point yesterday.
