NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The owner of the Tennessee Titans wants to see more of Vince Young. He's reportedly getting just that with the winless Titans making a change at quarterback from veteran Kerry Collins back to the 2006 Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Coach Jeff Fisher plans to announce the change after practice Thursday. But The Tennessean newspaper, citing anonymous sources, said on its Web site Thursday morning that Young will start Sunday against the Jaguars (3-3).
Fisher was not available an hour before practice, and the team had no immediate comment.
But Young split the work evenly with Collins at practice Wednesday. The Titans (0-6) also added John David Booty to the practice squad to do the work previously handled solely by Young.

might as well their season already went to shit guess they wanna finish off shitty too

finally

Young is no Drew Brees but he's a hell of a lot more exciting than Collins.

To those scoffing at this, what's the worst that could happen? Young stinks it up (not worse than Collins, that's impossible; he can only do AS WORSE, not worse) and we (100%) find out he's NOT the QB of our future, and we get to make a move this off season to allow us in a different (QB) direction immediately. I'm all for this move.

smart move - Collins is done

Well he could technically do worse than Collins. If you mean worse as in win/loss then no, but I garauntee with Collins they'd have at least 1 win, so hypothetically if they were to go 0-16 that would be worse than Collins. But in the end it doesn't matter. Season it over. They could go 10 straight wins and still not make the wildcard so they may as well play Collins and have some fun.

young could end up with a 30% completion rate and compete with Russell as the two worst QBs of all time :P

He's not gonna do worse than Collins, and I didn't mean wins, I meant numbers. He won't throw more than 8 INT's in like 5 games (we've played 6, Collins subbed out twice lol)..
-7 pass yards in a game? I'm willing to throw money on the line that Young doesn't throw for -7 pass yards in a game lol.

only Jamarcus Russell can throw more (or less) than -7 yards in a game
i can see Rusell throwing for -300 yards one of these weeks

^LOL..and I bet Young wins a game outta these next 6..heck, I bet he wins tomorrow.

They way your team was playing this year so far they could have had Peyton Manning the first 6 weeks and be no better than 3-3. They'd still be 0-6 if Young started. I do think it's time to start though. There's no point keeping him on the bench with the season over already.

i think Peyton would do well with the Titans....they have a great RB game for him to fall back on + that Nate Washington guy would be a legit #1 if he had a QB to throw to him
well, a good QB i mean

it's scientifically proven that scrambling QB's cannot win. :P

it's scientifically proven that scrambling QB's cannot win. :P
and it's also statistically proven this year that Collins is a joke.
FACT: Young is 18-11 as a starting QB in this league

oh, no doubt.
Vince deserves the start or at least to be given the chance; but he isn't turning that team around, in my opinion.
i seriously think they should make a push & try to get Colt McCoy.
