After 'All Eyez On Me' it looks like everybody wanted to do a double album.
Who made the best one.
I probally forgot a shitload of albums, but nothing after 1999 should be counted.
nate isn't hiphop but affiliate so w/e

You've missed UGK - Underground Kingz off.
EDIT: added
-
Wu-Tang Clan - Forever of course.
-
I don't even like Pac's double album.
Nas's Streets Disciple

Great that you can edit my posts but the thread title isn't 'best hiphop double album'.
The best double album that was released in the 'wave' of double albums after all eyez on me dropped.
Otherwise there have to be added so much albums....
Killer, BP2, Every lil Flip album to name some.

Sorry man, I'll remove them.

R U STILL DOWN - this is one of the most complete cd's ever released
-
I had to go with "Life After Death." But I could see why some might vote for "Wutang Forever," "Art of War," and "R U Still Down." Those are definitely all quality albums. I liked the other ones mentioned on the list too, but I would count these 4 as classics or near-classics.
-
1. g funk classics-entertaining damn record
2.all eyez-damn good
3. life after death-also damn good but very spotty

r u still down was a damm damm good record. it gets nowhere near enough love as it should. it was true lyrical pac with excellent not your run of the mill production, it still sounds fresh today.

Might needa give this one another spin

Wu-Tang Forever, Life After Death after that. I also digged the Gang Related soundtrack as a double album as well.
-
for me its between forever and the art of war
-
Wu Tang Forever >> Life After Death
-
I'd say Big's album is the no-brainer here but you also left out Yuk's double album too.
-
In my opinion, "Life After Death" is the best album mentioned in this entire post. Theres about 2-3 fillers (off top, that gayass "Player Hater" song - it would've been a great interlude but not a full song) but overall, that entire album is amazing.
2Pac wins with Makaveli, but "All Eyez On Me" got pwnd.
-
that song player hater is classic LOL
catchy at least

hard decision
element of suprise art of war and that wu album...personal favorites..

Why after All Eyez on Me? What were all the great hip hop double albums before it?

Voted the WU!

Ive always thought life after death to be extremely over rated mainstream crap.A huge step back from ready to die.Jiggafied nonsense.

Diplomatic immunity was released too long after AEM, by that time hiphop double albums weren't anything special anymore

I feel Life After Death more than Ready to Die...
I Am was also gonna be a double album but it got bootlegged to hell and back.
Bone's album was their height imo.. I couldn't cut it down to one disc but I can't justify the two-discer either.
-
Ready to Die >>> Life After Death by far.
-
Going with Wu-Tang Forever on this one.
-
Ready to Die >>> Life After Death by far.
Yeah I can definitely feel that. Puffy had BIG change his style up on LAD. RTD is just raw, gritty classic hip hop album. LAD is more smooth, laid back but lyrical as fuck. The production on that album was insane.

Yeah, for a long time I liked "Ready to Die" more. I think because the subject matter seemed grittier. But I think I'd have to go with "Life After Death," now, mainly because his lyrics had improved considerably, by that time. And like you said, the production was insane. Although, to be fair, I have to say that "Ready to Die" also had very good production. In my opinion, they're both great. But I think I'd have to give a slight edge to "Life After Death."
