colts are gonna be 9-0
pats 6-3 and bengals 7-2
broncos and chargers will fight over divsiion and whoever loses is the WC
and i see the Steelers winning that last WC over the Ravens or Texans
-
don't say that yet!
Colts might win this! :o
-
HOLY SHIT
GO PEYTON MANNING
hahahahahaha!! LMAO

LOL @ Hack changing his "Colts are gonna be 8-1" prediction. Accept that you were wrong, Hack. :D

You said it brother. Santa came early for me. I'm still jumping up and down.

Bengals would smack the shit outta the colts.

Bengals would smack the shit outta the colts.
sorry man, but all the benglas games are close
W or L
the Colts have blown some teams out and won some mad close games (like the last 2 theyve played)
id say colts > pats > bengals > steelers > anyone else in AFC right now
-
Bengals would smack the shit outta the colts.
I don't see that happening. Colts lose this year in the playoffs it'll be to San Diego or Pittsburgh. I'd say NE too butthere's almost no chance of a cold weather game for that now and I say Colts win at home against the Pats.
Who else wants to see an 18-0 Saints vs and 18-0 Colts in the SB? Hugest ratings ever!
-
we play defence, something no team colts have played do.
and no way colts win in playoffs. manning aint a playoff performer.

except for that Superbowl he won, right?
you act like peyton is dan marino
pretty sure he beat the patriots to make it there and then won superbowl MVP over the bears
manning has had some HUGE playoff agmes....he killed the broncos and chiefs in 03 and broncos in 04
ofcourse peytons had his playoff failures but every QB has
-
and we all know he played not like a mvp in that superbowl.

and we all know he played not like a mvp in that superbowl.
who cares? lol either way he's a superbowl champ and had to win 4 straight games in the playoffs to get it.
something fran tarkenton, dan fouts, dan marino and donavon mcnabb would kill to have
-

What did you want him to do? The Bears choked early and he basically played clock football for most of the second half. He was no less deserving of that MVP than many other QB MVPs. But he played a super MVP against the Pats in the AFC final that year so we know he can do it. If the game was in New England in January I'd agree, but assuming the Colts play the Pats in the playoffs it'll be in the dome, and the Colts made so many mistakes this game you can't count on them to do that twice.

25-38, 1td , 1 int, 1 lost fumble, 3.8 yrds per attempt. Hardly mvp worthy stats, but i mean he is the superstar so it was givin to him. Addai had 66yrs receiving and 77yrds rushing. rhodes had 113yrs rushing, 5.4 per attempt. and haydens pick 6 and other contributions over mannings. All were more deserving imo.

So were any number of defenders on the SB3 Jets, or the 01 Pats that held St Louis to 17 and had a pick 6. Really look at the history of QBs winning SB MVPs and look at their numbers. They win it over half the time. Namath had no TDs 17 completions for 200 yards and an INT and won it while Matt Snell rushed for 121 yards and a TD. Sauer had 9 catches for 130 yards. The Jets D had 4 INTs. Why did Namath win? Because that's how the NFL is.
My argument was never that Peyton Manning is the best player on the field and deserves MVPs. My argument is he's the best QB on the field, and that Superbowl he definitely was. He also was against the Pats, that year and tonight.

pats have the 2nd ranked defense
colts scored 35 and won

yea wel lthat just shows what i said he is the superstar so he got it, but he played like an average qb in that game wether u admit it or not. Was not a mvp worthy performance.
i hate skip bayless but i agree with this comment 100%
For the record, my pt. on Peyton was: Greatest regular-season QB EVER. Overrated because of sub-par playoff stats. Just a matter of facts.

i want to see a perfect Super Bowl, but i give that a 5% of happening.

I never said it was MVP worthy by Manning. But because there was no obvious stand out the QB got it. Same reason Brady got it the first year. My argument was that Peyton was never in a position to earn it. The Bears gave up. At least Peyton should get some credit for comitting to the run. He does call it on the field after all and reserves the right to over turn any coaching decision. How many other QBs can tell the punt unit to go back to the bench and go for it on 4th down like Peyton did in the 05 playoff game against the Steelers.
And I get a kick how Peyton is sub par inthe post season while one of the "great post season QBs" BRady is only 3 passer points higher. If an 85 passer rating is sub par then so is an 88 passer rating.
-
^he's also thrown less TD's & more interceptions.
i think he has like 17 post season interceptions (Peyton) & only has like 7 career regular season picks (just a joke).
point is, he folds up in the clutch.
meanwhile, Brady lead two Super Bowl winning drives.
the entire sport is built about winning; it's the entire essence of the game & it's the one thing you seem to shun lol.

Teams win, not players. I don't shun winning. I shun the idea that individuals can win entire championships in a game as team oriented as Football. And I will never change that opinion.
And he doesn't fold up in the playoffs. Name me a QB who is as good against playoff defenses as he is against regular season defenses. All those years Indy was losing to the Pats in the playoffs they were losing in the regular season as well. They stood no chance against the Jets. Pitt outplayed them every step of the way and still almost lost. Miami won in OT after the D couldn't stop them to tie the game. The only time Peyton was on winning teams in the playoffs was when the defense showed up when they needed to. That's not on Peyton's back. Sure his playoff stats suffer.
And why did Brady lead those drives? Where is Charle Wies's credit? Notice that despite much stronger offensive weapons they haven't won a championship since he left. I'd bet my bottom dollar that the Giants lose that SB with a Weis run Pats offense. Colts probably lose that AFC champioship too. McDaniels was a great under study, but something isn't right when you can add Randy Moss to a system, go 16-0 and score the most points ever, and then only get 14 in the super bowl.
-
^if you're really going to try to give Charlie Weis credit, just lmao.
i can say the same shit about Tony Dungy & how Peyton is so overrated because it's OBVIOUS the coaches are the reason for Peyton's success.
the way you put it, there aren't even such things are good players, everybody is the same & just put up different numbers because of coaches lol.
until you show me video of Charlies Weis throwing the football down in the field in those Super Bowls, i have no reason to give all the credit lol.
& in Week 17 the Giants played the Pats tougher than anybody else in the regular season. the Giants had a sick defense that year & won because of a lucky chuck throw Eli made with his eyes closed.
if you're going to tell me that's just Manning blood doing what it does best, that's ridiculous.
the Giants didn't deserve to win that game, but they flipped a coin on the field & came out on top & caught a Football with his helmet lmao.
-
Its funny how every thread turns to Manning vs. Brady. The arguement is tired so dead it.
The AFC playoff scene is already set and could go anyway. There is no clear cut unbeatable powerhouse (including the Colts).

The Giants won because Tom Terrific couldn't take the best offense in history down the field more than twice in the entire game. They didn't have the right strategy for that team and second half adjustments weren't made, like they were against Carolina. Comparing Dungy to Weis is just stupid and really shows me how far you'll reach to grasp at straws. Dungy is a great defensive minded head coach. Charlie Weis is an offensive genius who really isn't all that great a head coach. Show me one pass where in those game winning SB drives where Tom Brady threw it "down the field". Just one, and I'll shut up. Because not a single pass went past 15 yards and that was 1 pass. The other 8 of 9 passes were at the line of scrimmage off designed plays and incredible blocking schemes, so yeah I give credit to the man that came up with and called the plays over the QB that threw the 2 yard passes.
Now you're Lmao over he fact I give credit to coaches? Are you drunk? I'd say Buddy Ryan and Mike Ditka were more responsible for the BEars great D than William Perry but you might die of laughter.
FACT- 3 RINGS WITH WIES
FACT - NO RINGS SINCE HE LEFT
FACT - BETTER OFFENSIVE WEAPONS BY FAR SINCE HE LEFT AND STILL NO RINGS
You like to play the fact game. So there it is.
-
^the fact you give all the credit to Charlie Weis, why? because you hate Tom Brady lol.
& Peyton just does it all alone, because he is so "GOAT". ::)
so let me ask you, the defense KNOWS you're throwing, they are kind of laying back (not too much), but enough & you want Brady throwing into that triple coverage down the field? alright.
the only thing that makes sense is a lot of 5-6 yard throws; PLUS ALL THEY NEEDED WAS A FIELD GOAL.
& you're just reaching now, the Pats went 18-0 without Charlie Weis & you're going to say they lost the 19th game because they didn't have Weis? that's ABSURD!
like 18-0 is so easy. ::)
Brady had his best offensive season without Weis; outscored every opponet they played (including the Giants week 17); what happened was the Giants figured them out in the Super Bowl & the Pats were in position to win the game before the lucky chuck.

I never gave all the credit to Weis. Where did I say that? I said he gets zero credit, when he should get at least as much as Brady gets.
Again you're confusing what I mean about the screen plays. Brady did nothing wrong on those plays. He shouldn't have made tough throws. He didn't have to. Peyton does have to. Because the Colts built their offense around a QB and a bunch of hands WRs that depends on the fact that the QB can make the throw. Then on defense they are built to pass rush with the lead. It's not my ideal vision of how to build team in the NFL but it can only be done with a handful of QBs throughout history. In fact the only three I can think of is Unitas, Marino, and Manning.
My point is, was, and will always be that Brady is good enough to win on a team and offense like NE, but not good enough to win on a team and offense like Indy's. Disagree if you want, but that's the opinion I'm sticking with.
PS. You're wrong about the 07 offense. The Eagles offense outscored the Pats offense in week 12.
And one last thing about Weis; it's not that he was the reason they won. It's that he was the extra push. he's smarter offensively than McDaniels, specifically when it comes to in game adjustments. McDaniels was not ready for the different defense Spagnuolo showed him and Brady wasn't good enough to perform under pocket pressure. So where I think Weis would have had a halftime strategy ready to go McDaniels did not. Fuck the lucky pass, on 3rd down not 4th, the reason they lost was because they only scored 14. If they could score more than 14 that lucky pass wouldn't have mattered.
-
^you're kind of understating the Giants defense that year; but whatever, no point in trying to talk sense to you when it's obvious you're stuck on anything that goes against Brady.
i mean the Colts OC doesn't even come into the conversation & Charlie Weis is the reason Brady even wins. :D
-
whatever u say about peyton or brady shallow will bring some excuse as to how brady doesnt compare but when you say the exact things to show brady is better and show stats he always has some excuse. Its funny cus he will never admit that peyton aint all then when it comes to winning the championship. he had great teams that have one the most games a decade yet they have only one championship against a team that had no qb at all and he had to rely on the run to win the game. facts are facts manning aint fit for the big game.

Tom Moore has never been touted as an offensive genius and he himself has stated he acts more as a post to bounce ideas off while Manning calls the plays on the field and spends just as much time with Moore and the other offensive guys working out the plays in the playbook. That is a factor in the greatness of Manning, but that's not what makes him out of Brady's league. He's out of Brady's league for the same reason Jordan is out of Barkley's league; because in the field of play he plays better. Not he has more TDs, or more completions, or more wins. It's that he's more talented and can do things Brady cannot do. I don't need to bother with numbers or stats. I just need to watch them play and I know.
-
the pats have choked every year since weis left
06, 07...08 they dont even MAKE the playoffs...and in '09 they blow home field advantage to the colts
-
lol, it's like talking to NIK about the Lakers; it's pointless.
at least NIK fought for his team. :-X

I fight for talent, whether I hate the player or not. And Brady's talent is over rated.
