I loved Felt 2. I'd even go so far as to say it's one of my favourite albums in recent years - no joke. I'm a huge fan of both Atmosphere and Murs and think they collab so well.
This should have been an automatic purchase for me, but when I listened to the snippets it just really turned me off. It's not that I dislike Aesop Rock's style of production, but it simply doesn't suit Slug or Murs' style of emceeing. They both sound wooden over these beats in terms of their flow. They're both rappers who benefit from some sort of soul in their beats, and this album doesn't seem to have it. Maybe I'll download it and listen to the whole thing just to be sure, but there's so much good music out at the moment that Felt 3 might have to take a back seat, unfortunately.
