50 tells Tim Kash that he wouldn’t appear on the same track with Game—even if it featured Dr. Dre.
No, I wouldn’t do it. I’d be on a record, on a song, on the [Detox] album, but not on that record [with Game]. That’s not making a song, that’s making an event — things for people to talk about. … So there’s a verse there that you think would be great for both of us, I just say, ‘Erase his verse and put something in better than that.’ “
Ouch. Before I Self Destruct in stores today.
-
Haha ... Good news. He would ruin the song anyways.
-
U can't hate on his logic. He's absolutely right. For Dre to even think about doing it, the thought of it being a controversial to-talk-about-event outweighs the song. Here, 50 says no for the right reasons.

You care a whole lot. So much that you had to reply twice. SMH
-
WE can hate all we want but he's a smart person. Just checked his iTunes interview out he knows this business very well.

It's best to ignore the ignorant, uneducated Game groupies.
-
Every time I see "50 Cent" and "Detox" in the same thread title I anticipate Detox less.
-
I wouldn't really be upset if neither 50 nor game made it to Detox. I want a song with Cube, a song with Snoop, a song with Nas, and a song with Em (without his accent) then I'm set. Throw in some of his former west coast associates like X and Kurupt and leave it at that.
-
so 50 cent is going to push slim the mobster, great.

Snoop isn't any better than 50 & Game, it's actually the other way around

Lyrically no. Flow and presence yes. A Dre-produced Snoop track >>>>>> any 50 or Game joint every day of the week.

He better, for someone who got into rap for business reasons rather than tha music.

lol at 50 not wanting to make an event that basically how he has promoted his career by making events.

The last Dre/snoop collabs were on the Blue Carpet Treatment and they were fire. I fail to see your logic.

Snoop has fallen off after Tha Last Meal.
a nice track here and there but that's it.
This time, though, their partnership was different. "I'm focused on making songs, and back then I used to just rap," Snoop said of earlier collaborations with Dre, like his 1993 debut Doggystyle. "And now when I work with Dre, he don't let me do that no more. He don't just let me go in there and freestyle anymore. It takes, like, three days to make one song with that n---a, 'cause he be wanting every word to be right. I can't knock him, but sh--. I remember when I used to come in here and just la la la la boom bam and just do it."

maybe that's why he hasn't really been as successful without Dre as he was with him
-
that's right, Snoop needs Dre to make acceptable songs

No doubt Snoop has fallen off as far as his own albums. As have your boys Game and 50. As I said to begin with, I'd prefer a Dre/Snoop collab over the other two on Detox. I'm not even talking about what crap Snoop does on his own, because when he hooks up with Dre they make magic.
And for the record, Snoop fell off long before the last meal.
-
fair enough
-
mos def a dope dre produced song wit snoop on it>>>>>>50 and game song
-
eminem fell off a long time ago but i still want him on detox because im sure dre wont let him do no funny shit on that.
As for snoop, he might not be the same as a younger snoop, but when his flow n presence it spot on, he still can fuck up a track with ease. Check ny state of mind track he took off jigga n alicia keys, he killed that.
And as for detox, snoop n dre >>>>>>than any combo. Thats never changed. I would like to see game on it though, would be interesting to see what they can cook up, i love the westcoast funk vibe dre albums have.
But yeh, snoop might not be nowhere near what he was in terms of consistantly coming good, but without doubt he can make a smash hit imo if he gets it right and i want to see him fuckin with dre on detox before anyone else. Dre wouldnt release detox without snoop, that i'm sure of.
