i saw 8 mile last night, n all they play in the background thew out the whole movie is different songs of biggies. everytime tehy in the car, outside of da shelter or on the street, also they played a few pac songs. was biggie that famouse bak in detriot in 95. post yall opinions

Back then they were in the middle of the East/West war and it was Biggie and Pac basically and Detroit was in the middle.

1995 was such a great year for rap prolly one of my favs, everyone was puttin out such good music

LMAO! Biggie was huge not only in Detroit but all over the fucking place in '95 especially in the summer when "One More Chance" became his biggest single ever. 2Pac was also big that year when "Dear Mama" hit radio and video. Ready To Die was still selling like crazy and Me Against The World became Pac's biggest album since he debuted. The beef between the two wasn't public yet so Detroit wasn't in the middle of anything.

Yeah, I noticed that too, they played it all through the movie.  They played Outkast's players ball, too.
